you said you were playing arakune? in that case, you have the most difficult combo in the game (the 11k curse combo) and that will probably take some practice to get down.

marly: combos being "big" doesn't have anything to do with how difficult they are; short short super in cvs2 is harder than anything in bbcs [IMG].

but really, is there a specific combo you're having trouble with? i could probably help.

Thanks for the offer but no. You seem to believe i'm having some issue with the game, which i already said isn't the case. I'm learning at the same rate i'd learn anything else. I'm really not sure you're reading my posts.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">also: guys, you play vf; this game should be a fucking cakewalk when it comes to inputs. granted, if you don't know how the command interpreter works, you're not going to do well at first, but a little bit of reading will take you a long way.</div></div> [IMG]

Are we still going with this? If you're saying CVS2 is harder than BB i've no opinion on that. The above however? madness.

most combos in bb are either basic air combos (launcher -> filler -> ender) or dumb one or two move loops that go on for as long as loop proration will allow it to. i don't think it's really a matter of them being more difficult than vf combos, rather just a lack of exposure to this type of game.

all i'm saying is that compared to the most difficult combos in vf5 (om combos, just frames, etc), the most difficult combos in bb are a relative breeze. then again, perhaps this is just my over-exposure to these types of games speaking.

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">If you're saying CVS2 is harder than BB i've no opinion on that.</div></div>

i wasn't really drawing a comparison between bb and cvs2, rather pointing out that combos being long doesn't necessarily correlate with combos being hard; i just came up with the best example that came to mind.

again, i think this is just the white noise of blazblue confusing you into thinking it's a lot harder than it actually is. i've seen this from sf players as well, which is particularly hilarious when you consider how link intensive sf4 is.

but whatever, i guess this discussion has taken it's course. i'll be down to play when i get gold next week.

I don't think the comparison of the 10 frame buffer window of VF compared to the 5 frame "advanced input" of BB is fair. From my understanding, they are used differently.

    I may be wrong, but:

The VF "10 frame buffer" - refers to a certain window in which you need to input correctly your button/stick presses. For example, I want to press [P]+[K] simultaneously in the 10 frame window together for a [P]+[K] attack to come out immediately following my original move. If I press [P] and 4 frames later press [K] within the 10 frame buffer window, it will not be registered as a [P]+[K] input.

If the VF game system have BB "5 frame advance input" system, the "I press P and 4 frames later press K within the 10 frame buffer window, would registered as a [P]+[K] input.

Sure, I'm down for it. So far the netcode was rather impressive, so I don't think we will run into huge problems (at our level of play).
