By the way, I don't disconnect. I just like playing Devil's Advocate sometimes.

 

Eh not for me, but eh I'm not hardcore. My win percentage means squat to me. Just know if you sleep on me you'll get an L sir. Only reason why I play ranking is because people take the playing more seriously. Way more fun to watch them freeze up, player matches people just do whatever since they're not nervous.

That's why I play Ranking matches as well. It's more fun when the stakes are higher.

I'm a 7th Dan Wolf/El Blaze player. Yesterday I was facing a demotion match versus a 9th Dan Shun player. I was saying to myself "I'm not going down to 6th Dan, Hell no!" And boyyyyyyyy, I WAS FOCUS! I was doing things with Wolf I never used in a match. Like his WALL P+K+G and Deadly Move. I was in a 4 game winning streak against homeboy, then after that, it was back and forth. Whats the moral of this story? People are willing to learn, SO DON'T WASTE ARE TIME! Message brought to you by the "SIXAXIS"Controller.

 

STRANGER VF5, cable puller and top battio from korea, pulled when he obviously gonna lose his master rank, alot of these dudes I've noticed try to poach and use lag tactics beware!

CADORNA : Hmm...not sure if it was intentional, but last night Cadorna pulled on me for the second time. I let the first one go a few days ago, but now it looks fishy. By the way, I'm not targeting you, I'm just searching for similar ranks and you happen to keep popping up. No hard feelings either way.

unless someone's had a really bad experience with him, I wouldn't have SSJS as a cable puller. I've played with him numerous times (we went at it for ages trying to get to master from 10th a few weeks ago), and he consistantly hosted and didn't drop once, in 10+ games, with many losses in there.

not my favorite player ever, but I've never seen him drop.

The other day I had what I felt to be my first REAL puller, a japanese jeffry who lost 3-1. It was a ranking match, and I beat him, but he literally pulled upon my 16 P+G hitting and it actually said "KO!", but that second it froze and the lost connection message came up.

I partially agree with you spotty... I to have played many games with SSJS where we have gone back and forth it. But I can assure you he has pulled twice on me during a match. Once during a demotion for him and the other randomly after taking a few losses to me in a row.

 

This might not make sense to anyone but me, but the way he plays Kage, I would totally guess he'd be a cable puller.

 

I second Cadorna, although dood pulled the cable before the match STARTED. Too good. That's pro right there.

Super Gun Ninja. He pulled on me on match that didn't even count.

Anyways, please avoid this guy. He's a racist and his Jacky is mediocre. You won't have a good time fighting him. Trust me.

 

... and if he doesn't pull, he sends you racist messages accusing you of only using 3 moves.

Everyone should avoid playing him.

 

None Other For the 3rd time. Just ignore this fool. I was 7th Dan and he was 10th.....and he still dropped. This is getting ridiculous.

 

Just wondering, how one could tell that the other player pulled the cable, or if it was a problem with the network connection?

I have received the "You are disconnected to Xbox Live message" once yesterday, is that it?

I am using wireless connection unfortunately..

 

miyakuro just disconnected on me, I'd won 2 rounds and he'd won none (me = Pai, him = Lau), then in the last round I took half his energy before he landed a single hit (I got wise to his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif which he used at the beginning of every round we played and I blocked it at the start of round 3 then punished him big time). That was when he disconnected. It was about 20 mins ago, and still no message explaining he didn't pull, or invite to another game. There was no lag, and the connection was fine when he beat me earlier today. I guess being a 4th dan means too much to him to take his loss like a man.. wanker...

I used to think Lei Fei players were annoying (I know Pai's got her share of critics), but now Lau is number 1 on my arsehole list.
