Perhaps he felt you were abusing a cheap tactic?

 

Shafoniq also DCed on me in a ranked match that was going 2-0 my way, and when I sent him mail he said that he had two red lights in his 360. To believe or not to believe. (I dont even know what that means)

Decimal Point (Lei Fei) pulled after I won the fight. I had beaten him three times in a row and I guess he couldn't take it any more. What a wussy.

Oh, and I need to interject: Cheap Tactic or not, there is no excuse for pulling.

disconnected me 3-4 times in a row at the last hit.
i did exactly the same thing back to him on the fourth game to see his reaction, he simply sent a message back having a hissy fit over it with a dog-like 'woooooo woooooo' after his jibblish speech. pretty funny stuff. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I was on my way to an Excellent in the 5th round when it suddenly disconnected. I sent him a message telling him I didn't drop and asked if he wanted to rematch. His reply:

"lei feis cheap. dont bother"

 

That's funny he never did that to me and I beat him everytime. How many times did you beat him or the first time you eva played him?

 

I only played him once. It just seemed a little odd that the game dropped as I was about to beat him and then he wouldn't accept my rematch offer.

You know what's really funny though? As I was about about end the round with a jab, like an idiot I forgot that Vanessa can counter punches in the neutral stance. She had her back to the edge of the ring, and I threw a punch and she tossed me to the other side. I was about to fall out of the ring just as I got the disconnection message.

In other words, he would have won if he hadn't pulled.

so, in the first of MANY noob-to-the-board questions i'll probably be asking soon: how can i tell if a cable has been pulled? what happens on my screen <span style='font-size: 8pt'>(keeping in mind, i've been on xboxlive for less than 24 hours, so i know NOTHING of what it's been like for previous games)</span>

i had one fight last night where i got an excellent in the 1st round, and then they never threw another punch for the next 2 rounds. was that it, or were they just off hitting the bowl while i was practicing my throws?

 

When you get disconnected mid-game, you'll see a message pop up that says the connection with the other player has been lost, or something to that effect (can't remember what it says verbatim).

This has happened most often to me in ranked matches, and I can only suspect the same will be true for most others. You might try sending a message letting them know that you didn't drop, and maybe ask for a rematch.

 

ah, see i haven't seen anything like that so far, but i haven't played any ranking matches yet <span style='font-size: 8pt'>(not 'til i get used to the controller)</span> . . . although randomly when i am about to begin a fight i get some "maybe you've lost connection with xboxlive" kinda message. but never mid-fight. so i've got that to look forward to, huh?

 

You can add SSJS to the list. What a scrubby Kage too. The worst thing is I lost to him a couple of times, then when I finally beat him he DC'd on me. Not the first time he's done it either, last time I gave him the benefit of the doubt (like there's gonna be much doubt in the last round with no energy left)

 

hehe i have played against this guy so many times it's funny. Well he has never pulled on me despite our connection not being the best. His kage is a little off the wall though. He just repeats the same 3-4 sequence over and over. *sigh* I can't help but wonder if he realizes that he rinse and repeats the same thing over and over. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif sucks he pulled though, hopefully he will not pull on me next time I bump into him.

 

Anthony Yun2 pulled on me. When I messg. him and called him on it he called me a Dirty Lei. What a loser.

 

xxxRANSOMxxx just dropped on me

Guy had the nerve to message me and say that he's tired of losing to a 2 move clown. Not my fault he can't counter it.

 

UK Rayne dropped on me twice yesterday. I knew he would drop on me again but I just wanted to dominate him one more time.

 

S A Lord dropped on me on a ranking match... he didn't even try in the third round, he dropped before the round even started. The momentum was defnitely going my way but it wasn't a beat down or anything. *shrug*
