Calling all High Level VF players!

Not sure If i would qualify as high level but i would love to play... I used to play with you a long time ago under the tag ayasempai vfdc. I used to play alot of the people here actually. Dont think anyone remembers me though lol. Im a jacky player

Anywho, to attempt and drum up some attention I was submitting some of these replays to some sites I know... and it turns out I don't know many sites.

I posted them over at the SRK forums and submitted them to Eventhubs.com, although I'm not sure if they'll post them yet.
I also dropped a line to my stream / youtube in the 8wayrun thread. Not sure where else to go though, just tryin to spread the awesomeness of VF

Anyone ever watch Day9? I'm watching him some now. He streams Starcraft matches. That guy is amazing at explaining / streaming matches and teaching players.

If we could end up with something like what Day9 does for Starcraft, but for VF, I would be beyond satisfied.

Not sure of the time yet but I want some interested players for some Room Matches

 

I'm so full of ideas right now. I think I'm gonna start making videos with short tutorials on things that aren't readily noticeable in VF. Such as small wall hits(the things that don't actually cause a stagger). If you do it close to the wall you don't get anything, but if it's from a distance you can land a combo.

Think I might start up a video segment for these types of tutorials, since a lot of people don't like frame data and are more visual learners.

Skip to around 40 minutes in to catch the Room matches, the first 40 is just random Ranked Matches.

Hope to do this again soon, everyone in chat had a good time chatting and learning some new shit from watching the high level of play. I'll slap together single matches and upload them to youtube tomorrow.

this is a great idea! this game DESERVES the spotlight!

 

I'm very up for taking part in the EU group, it's up to the masses to decide if I'm up to it. I definitely think the matches should have commentary, it makes for much more exciting matches.

 

Of course you are man, you're like second or third best behind me, innit.

 

I'd absolutely love to do commentary but I really don't know enough about the game to competently do it.

Maybe I could get Skype and hook up with Shidosha for some streams

Johoseph, I sent you a friend request like 3 days ago but it's just been sitting there. I mean I'm pretty sure it's nothing personal since we always been cool and never had any beef, right? Well, my conn's back in order and hopefully I get to play all of you online soon (and even better offline at the next gathering!)

It's great you're doing this, btw, you inspired me to get a youtube channel going for all of those matches that players from all over the world post online. Kinda the way that YogaFlame does for SSF4 vids but with VF vids.

 

I would practice my commentating skills in your streams. At least while I'm there. It's fun as hell to commentate.

I spent 4 hours (literally... 4 hours) just ripping match replays one by one to put on youtube yesterday. I think I might just start saving the reaaaally good ones, lol.

So I didn't play VF at all yesterday. My friend is going out with his girl tonight so I'll be STREAMING TONIGHT. Starring TFam! Maybe? You gonna be on tonight? haha.

how do you set your streams up, Johoseph? is there a way for me to stream PSN matches in similar fashion? i think it'd be cool to see those with PSN in action too.

 

PSN gets no love here...

Haunts might do a PS3 stream, I brought it to his attention yesterday and he thought it was a good idea (he also gets the most viewers on his streams).. There are a couple of PS3 streams out there but nothing "high level" atm. Although with the game only being out for say 10/11 days, you honestly can't expect too much too soon imo. People need some time to get closer to the Japanese matches/stream levels.

Personally I think the really close matches, epic comebacks, high damage combos, and pure aggression matches make for the best viewing experience. Anything that shows off the flashiness and improved style of FS will be a big draw for gamers.

 

I think the issue is being able to stream while playing online, rather than who is in the group.
