no additional machine, still 2 actually. there's a sticker there and it said 'CABINET TESTING', and most likely will make way for Tekken 6. Wyrd, your nick sounds familar, you are the one from gamersquare/bob ?

My personal feel on the ""Cabinet Testing"

1. Man, it brought back my memory of playing Street Fighter Champion Edition, where you sit with your opponent side-by-side. Imagine you are fighting against a smoker (back in those day in Malaysia where smoking is okay and lights is minimal in arcades)

2. The joystick feel exactly like VHGS.

3. For the visual, probably a bit weird to sit so near to play VF in wide-screen. It looks rectangular (32' / 28' LCD?)

4. Having playing side-by-side, you can sense/hear/see whether the opponent going to tech-roll/side-roll/struggle. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

5. Good for sharing knowledge.

6. A bit squeezy for me. Probably my size.. heee hee hee...

Wow, VSHG-quality joystick? Sounds good! Will be going down this Friday to check it out!

But sitting side-by-side loses the appeal of wondering who your mysterious challenger would be... and figuring out who they are by their playstyle..

Don't say until like that leh >.< me also the same lah, yesterday play with that aoi, i don't dare to sit close to him at all..abit pai seh ar. but it's good that you keep on feed me information while i keep on kena whack by you..haha

I think they should put it in the middle, like an exhibition machine like that... then more pple will beo and it'll create more interest in a way.

Though it feels strange, since the original cabinet was only 1 player per side....

Hummm....Just a quick thought what happen if the challenger is big in size? Cause the challenger can sit on player 1 or player 2 side which might affect your joystick or button depends on where the challenger sits. Worst if the challenger tends 2 be very emotional or verbal type then... -_-||| Can SPOD the challenger or not har?

Well, giving the emotional and verbal factors, with this side-by-side setting, it can end-up in few scenarios

(1) From 'Virtua Fighter' to 'Verbal Fighter'
i.e. Possible attack option : Swear words in any language

(2) From 'Virtua Fighter' to 'Reality Fighter'
i.e. Possible attack option : Free-style street-fighting in Bugis. (This the real Iron Fist Tournament like the UFC /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif )

no lah..i don't think there will be any verbal fighter lah. the most you can see is drama and lots o acting =) cause our community people are quite okay mah. and think no reality fighter lah..that's abit kua zhang..but i don't minding see that ~ can watch real life UFC. UFC! UFC! UFC! UFC!
