I was going to say Brazilian Jujitsu but then I realized that this game has enough grapplers. It would be a good rival for Goh though.

I guess the game is missing a traditional American boxer. I can't really think of any other styles they could implement. I mean, Capoeira is popular in fighting games. But something tells me that AM2 would have a difficult time pulling it off.

I think we may need a real TKD character (something more along the lines of traditional karate). I mean, Jacky and Sarah come pretty close but their styles are listed as Jeet Kun Do. This bothers me because their styles are NOTHING like Jeet Kun Do. You will never see a flamingo stance in JKD. I don't know... AM2 has their styles all mixed up.

Actually Sarahs style is listed as vanilla "martial arts" that tells me that she has basically a style of her own. And as far as I have understood it, Jeet Kune do is more of a philopsophy than a collection of techniques..?

I would be happy if they tried to work Taka back in the game, or at least made a smaller sumo fighter.

Well, AM2 rightfully changed it from what it used to be. I know for sure that her and Jackey's style were both listed as Jeet Kune Do in previous games. Jeet Kune Do directly translates into "Interception of the Fist" or something of the sort. And although Lee frequently associated Toaist philosophies with the martial art technique, the words "Jeet Kune Do" essentially represented his customized Wing Chun form.

I guess this leaves room for an authentic Jeet Kune Do character, huh?

I'm not at all knowledgable about styles of kung fu but muslims have always practised their styles of kung fu in china. SInce I'm a muslim I'd like to see a muslim character using one of those styles.

I have to agree on that but i would prefer a wing chun character over a jeet kune do character because of the sheer popularity of bruce lee rip offs. ( Jann Lee, law, Fei Long etc... )

Just introduce a Wing chun chick with tons of sabaki's and counter's, poor kicks,ultra fast punching and average throw game.

Maybe it's Shaolin's Long Fist, but isn't Lei Fei such a char.?
Anyway, I think that Jeet Kune Do is well represented by Jacky in VF. He differs from Jann Lee, and Law family, but the shouting, shaking and whatever else just things Bruce Lee did, and are a part of His style of performing the JKD. Whatever you say, I think Jacky is enough.

thats why im saying wing chun would be great and besides being a bruce lee rip off jacky doesnt have shit when it comes to JKD ressemblance.

Wing chun would require like i said a character with tons of sabaki's. Only thing Jacky has from wing chun or jkd if you prefer his is Pak sao and thats that. A women doing wing chun ( Wing chun is originally intended for people with weaker physical attributes. It was created by a nun so that people who are not as strong can still defend themselves against the strong.
