There is a good gaming shop inside elizabeth st mall (has double glass doors), just across the street from J&L (left of the police station, down the escalator, make a right then go straight). They charge 30 bucks for the swap mod (need a gameshark, which is an additional 30)and 150 for non swap which plays dvdr's all region dvds etc. I don't know how much J&L charges, check out both as some items are more expensive in each store.

CTF this weekend

Hey guys,

Thanks for the info! We're going to try to make it out on Saturday... Today isn't looking too good (Namflow is still asleep, and the parents are already like "oh great you are home lets go get dinner together!")... But we'll try and be out on Saturday... will let you guys know later tonight!

At J&L, 150 bucks for "non swap", but it is NOT multi-region DVD play supported. Well, at least that is what J&L said when I got PS2 at there about 2 month ago. Seems like a "gaming shop inside elizabeth st mall" has a better deal.

Well we got our PS2 modded at that mall on Elizabeth, and thanks to everyone who showed up at CTF! Great to play you all again, and to meet Kazu (or was it Katsu? I'm not sure)... Always good to see new (or returning) VF players...

Hi, Alex.

The new - and super strong - guy's name is Kazu (though I don't know how he spells his name either Kazu, Kaz, or Kazz). He said he's likely to show up on Friday and Saturday evening. Too bad, he cuoldn't make it last Saturday.

Oh? Who was the new Japanese player that I met on Saturday if it wasn't Kazu? (I thought it was, I'm easily confused, it's so hard to hear sometimes in CTF sometimes) /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I saw Kazu some time between 6 and 8 at CTF on Saturday.

I've seen him play Lau, Wolf, Lei Fei, Akira and Kage, but don't know if that's his comprehensive list.

Hammerhead might know more.

Hey since Evo is out for the Console. I'll probably be at the office playing when all the work is done (whenever that is). /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif Instead of spending money that I don't have on the Arcade.

Hahaha... it's so funny. Hey Alex, sorry to cofuse you, but it was ME - TetsuoNYC, "the new Jpn guy" met and talked to you at CTF last Saturday. LOL.

By the way, Kazu is much (x3) strongaer than me.

Supergolden and Namflow, you guys should have stayed longer to meet Kazu. The player absolutely butt kicking w/ lau. I knew he was coming but just not sure when, so I didn't say anything to you guys. Namflow's lion is very strong now and not machi as people say. I haven't play supergolden's wolf, so I can't comment.
