Daigo's Ken starts the combo with a jumping roundhouse(hard kick). When a character parries in the air, it inches them forward just a little bit. Even though he jumped straight up, after the parry Ken is in forward motion and thus his attack come out as if he was jumping toward.

Daigo had to add the extra attack in the air for the combo to kill Chun-Li

Stomp, in the first two versions of SF3, you could parry in the air towards them or away by pushing forward or down on the stick. SF3:3S eliminated the away parry in the air, you can now only parry forward which pushes you closer.

Overall yeah the comeback of the Beast is probably the best Evo04 moment that will be remembered forever. If you see in the vid, Daigo is actually setting up Justin because Daigo was tapping foward several times predicting Justin's SAII super. I still can't believe that Justin executed the super and once Daigo got the first parry, the rest of it is easy. Also it wasn't just the straight jump RH but the Strong Dp cancel into super does the most damage compared to Fierce Dp.

Daigo from what I heard is mainly a 2-D player and I highly doubt that he will touch 3-D games or VF4FT.
