You don't need to be in human form when placing your sign down, only if your summoning someone for help. It's much easier if you're doing co op with someone you can chat too ...it can be fiddly to workaround the server issues without a mic.

Noone comes in tho when i drop the sign. The guy who looks into the sun near beginning gave me that item. I just beat the two gargoyles at the roof. Im more looking into coop rather than invading others.im at level 53 how bout u guys i cheated doing the farming trick,

I haven't summoned anyone once. Never been invaded either. I'm really enjoying the game as a single player affair at the moment. Maybe on my next playthrough.

I'm in Sen Fortress trying to rack souls, but this guy keeps summoning me and dying from the blades and its hella frustrating. If he took his heavy armor off and let me do everything maybe he'd stop dying.

I need the souls cuz I betrayed the Forest covenant, except I didn't cuz one of the guys in the forest killed himself somehow and I got blamed for it so I'm not invited there. [IMG]

    one of these will happen:

    1. game will be on steam but at the same time use GFWL....that's 2 levels of DRM (hate it)

    2. game will only use GFWL....death sentence for me

    3. game will use steamworks.... Hallelujah!

Fuck, I can guarantee that it will sell more if it's on steam and I use steam myself, I hate GFWL garbage. [IMG] [IMG]

It's great news that Dark Souls comes to the PC. The game, while masterfully designed, suffered from drastic frame-dropping in the later stages. Still, it's one of the games I most enjoyed.

I'm looking forward to the PC release with the announced spiced-up contents. And, of course, playing it with 60 FPS will be super sweet.

GFWL is a miss, though. But what can you do...

I'm about 75 hours into it on PS3, and really loving it. It's ballsy. There is no hand-holding, and part of the reward is discovering how certain mechanics work, where to go and what to do. The difficulty is admirable. It reminds me of Ninja Gaiden in that yes, the game is hard as fuck, but only because it doesn't put the player at an advantage over the A.I. like most games would. You are on completely even ground with every enemy (and often, they have the advantage over you), and there's no such thing as a frivolous encounter. Very few other games make you feel like you're actually struggling for your life, with real and significant consequences other than just a respawn and retry.

Easily among my favorite games this gen.
