Love the background interaction. Love the fact they still got the "Knock the opponent of the ledge moves." whats funny is Hayabusa should let go instead of hanging on though.. I mean if you can jump out of a window in DOA 3 and onto other floating worlds.. that fall should be nothing lmao!!!

ONLY thing I didn't like was the super slow "speacil" moves or edge of the arena moves. Just think it may slow down the flow of the fight and considering how fast the other DOA games are.....

My only gripe is how long before watching all these special arena moves becomes boring, I mean it was like 10 seconds between the guy getting knocked off the edge of the stage (sorry dont know their names)and the KO.

Dont get me wrong I think it looks great but maybe just a bit too long.

Re: Dead or Alive 5 coming

i honestly believe all that slow motion shit was just to make the trailer exciting. While DOA4 had crazy insane shit going on in the background, the game play never slowed down so I don't see why they would start doing that now. As a matter of fact I can't think of any DOA that did stuff like that. The only exception might be to throws like the izuna drop for example where you know your caught / hit and it's guaranteed. And even then things happened relatively quickly.

Trust me, all that bullshit is just for show. Even since DOA2, none of the stages have been boring. If anything there annoying like the DOA4 dojo stage where you can knock people through doors. Knock them through the wrong door and you can put yourself in a bad position.

I thought that dojo stage was in DOA3???

Seems like Team Ninja is making those b+P+K charge moves more dramatic than ever. I'm still not a huge fan on fighting the game plus the other player. It's like a Mexican stand-off, DOA style: P1 vs P2 vs CPU...

I really hope Team Ninja decides to listen to their fanbase, and make those important changes to make the game more competitive. Not saying that DOA4 wasn't competitive, but when you compare it to the previous DOAs, it just seems like they didn't build on what was good in 2 or 3, but rather toned everything down. Desparation for sales shouldn't mean screwing over the fanbase that's already there. Again, the only real good thing I saw that came out of 4 was Zack's beefed up gameplay style. I feel like they could've just made a "boxing" character like the other 3d fighters did though. DOA4 did make me want to try other characters out, and I will say that ninjas maybe top, but I did feel like some of the other characters did stand a chance. Even Bass didn't seem hopeless imo...

In the previous DOAs, the CGIs seemed to be as good as the actual gameplay graphics, but in DOA4, the CGI was actually better than the in-game's graphics. I wonder if they could beef up the graphic quality without sacrificing anything so that their would be no need for CGI. I don't think there's a need for that anymore in games, especially if the graphic quality can match or surpass that of CGI.

At least just give us an HD remake of 3.1. I think alot of people would be happy...

This. It's the reason I hate the highway and dinosaur stages in 4 and the Metroid one in Dimensions. I'm okay with being knocked off cliffs and into exploding walls, but I don't want to be run over by a car or flown into by a Pteranodon while I'm mid combo.

The 3DS version has slow down effects. On wall combos and crashes along with Hitsparks and Fireballs on the Ninja's charge moves. Seriously though if everybody copped DOA Ultimate which was a remake of 2 without adding any of the Sweetest moves from 3... I will gladly pay for a DOA ultimate 2 (DOA 3 3.1) cause i pass of that.

Exactly!!! There are tons of people who feel this way. That's why in tournaments either the stages were banned, or they had to have the moving danger zone removed altogether. There's no real strategy per sé in letting the computer throw a monkey wrench in your rushdown/combo/whatever. That just totally messes one's groove up, and that alone can make you lose a match.

Sure, it does have some benefits in the sense that if you're getting slaughtered by Hitomi, and Grimlock comes to your rescue by hitting her, it can give you the chance to juggle or finish her and win. But at the end of the day, I still feel the game's mechanics should work for you, not against you...

To those DOAD players, how's the movement in the game???

The graphics look pretty sweet, but I've never seriously gotten into any DOA game (but I have played them all many times - I played a good amount of 4 especially)... But if this game isn't coming before VF5:FS, I don't see myself playing it.

Also, why is DOA the only fighting game that has girls who play at tournament level?

This is going to be the most criticized fighter of 2012 leading up to its release, and its going to sell more than any fighter in 2012 lol

Team Ninja just announced that whomever pre-order Ninja Gaiden 3 will receive pass code to download the pre-alpha demo of DOA5. The PS3 version will have Hayate and Ayane as playable characters while the X360 version will have Hayabusa and Hitomi. But getting the premium edition will enable all 4 characters as playable.

That's some good news for DOA fans I guess. Either ways, I was planning on getting NG3 so I'll have to wait and see if the premium edition worth buying or not.

    Just in case someone ask where did I get these info from, here is the link;

That looks like CG to me. If it is in game then it's pretty impressive.

Knowing team ninja those are in game graphics. Their CG stuff tends to look a lot better than this.

Yeah it looks like CG all right, but its the platform that matters.. [IMG] I seriously doubt it can look that good on for example ps3.

It's in game, but as the game is in development it'll be currently rendered on high end PC hardware. You can expect a significant downgrade in the visuals when it comes to release.
