Dead or Alive 5: Last Round

Well i'm way up in the Seattle area and most VF'ers are east coast and down south. And for whatever reason a lot of the Cali guys have interesting connections for FS. DOA5 had a lot of West Coast players and we could run rooms daily. Rikuto was probably the laggiest player I ran into in DOA5, he completely lagged out our entire WC Room and didn't really wanna leave, despite frame freezing, game stuttering super lag. FS players are definitely more considerate when it comes to connection and lag.

 

Well the US is getting the game on 3(?) September whilst the UK is getting it on the 6... hehe there are more control over hairstyle and glasses I think. But it might be costume specific.

I been playing Ultimate for a few hours now and I don't know what they changed, but I definitely like it better than vanilla. Jacky is fun as hell to play and I'll most likely use him as my main. I haven't played online against anyone yet because I'm still combo training and trying to get used to the system. I pretty much completely missed out on vanilla so it's gonna take a bit for me get some stuff down.

The true test though will be my online experience and whether the connection against players hold up well. I pray it's better this time around.

 

Did you ever message him to let him know he was lagging up the room and you'd appreciate it if he left? From what I know of him, he'd leave if you did.

We were mic'd up, he responded, he left eventually, was very annoying >_<
The fact he thought it was acceptable to play that many matches in such extreme lag was incredible regardless.

Well ranked is still a worthless mode, they should have used the FS system for ranked. No list of players to see, you can decline now, but it's still an after thought. Game seems better than 5, controls feel better, netcode appears better, but I only spectated.

 

Loving the game so far...The new characters are awesome from what I played-Rachel is so awesome and Leon randomly became my new favorite character-such a boss!

Also loving the whole music edit option-I spent too much time getting my songs together...Too much nostalgia! lol

Netcode is definitely better than vanilla...but not perfect...Still, it's a good improvement.

 

I'm having more fun as well compared to vanilla. However I think Rachel is kind of OP and Momoji just gets massive damage without even trying. Plus she fights from the air... yeah it's Marvel baby!

Anyway, back to struggling with Jacky. He is a lot of fun, but I just can't figure out how to get good damage with him. Unless it's a combo that leads to critical burst his damage is ass imo. It would be better if his launchers actually launched characters a bit higher. Hopefully once I get better at DOA's RPS game maybe I'll see an improvement in damage.

Oh and Alpha-152 should not be playable lol. Either slow her spamming ass down or let her eat even more damage if she gets hit.

 

Ooooh can't wait till I get my copy! Game sent me an email saying it's in the post today so hopefully I get it either tomorrow or Friday. Got next week off as well! muhahhaa

So I'm definitely checking out Momiji but have a feeling I'm going to go with Ein again - red trousers and chains!!!

 

Haha I like Rachael a lot and Momiji as well. If we are talking about OP you gotta mention Sarah, Rod. Character feels way stronger than the others i've tried, she actually seems faster than in Vanilla, and her stuns are still ridiculous. Jacky gets pretty good damage on counter throws and has decent damage overall, but no, he isn't the over powered, omnipotent, deity that he is in FS.
