Dead or Alive 5: Last Round

One thing I wanna say is. While I do think a costume ban is a lil much, while watching FR it did make watching the stream a better experience to see them fighting while wearing normal clothes instead of those string bikinis and whatnot. And I can only imagine anyone else seeing the game on stream would take it a lil more serious than to tune in and see damn near topless, g-string wearing girls fighting and going "what the fuck is this shit?".

Just up to the players on how they want others to perceive their game. But, it is hard to watch and take seriously when the females are damn near naked out there, lol.. I came up with this conclusion after watching the FR tournament on YouTube. And not sayin TN should stop making that kind of DLC.

I couldn't care less what they do. Just an opinion.

 

When the news came out of FSD, yes it did caused an uproar. Especially with people who DON'T even play this game competitively.

The soft-ban is an optional rule if TOs can use it or not. No one cared about it during Final Round, and also not many top players use these type of costumes anyway. It really didn't matter, and like I said earlier: the people who don't play this game competitively made a big deal out of nothing.

 

Other than that, the top 16 was good. That one dude (e-mann/mc static) made Kokoro look incredible.

I hope they do away with that one stage though (as far as tournaments), the new one with all those lit up squares that makes characters bounce high and puts em in power launch height when they get knocked off. It just looks so unfair to watch someone lose like that. Taking a whole life bar because the stage re-floats you so high and you can repeat till they're dead. It's not "hype", it's wack.

Just an outsider's opinion.

 

That stage is too overpowered in competetive play, i mean i feel bad for the guy/gal who gets juggled on that stage.

 

The health in DOA is basically 300HP, so it's fine. Danger Zone won't be banned, since it's not that much game-breaking.

The only time we had stage bans in DOA were DOATEC Germany in DOA2 Ultimate (Death Combos are possible with certain characters since normal health was 240HP), Experimental Playground in DOA4 (Messed up physics), Ends of the Earth in DOA5 Vanilla (because of the constant slip stun caused by mid attacks, but it was fixed around 1.03), and Dojo in ALL DOA games (No danger zones, or positional advantages).

 

To anyone in London, we've been having weekly sessions on Fridays for the game. Since there's been growing interest from Tekken players, it would be good if more people could join up and help each other out.

Anybody know or have an idea when Ninja Pack 3 costume set is set to release? I know it's in april. I'm so looking forward to a new costume for Sarah (and Pai)

 

NP3 should be next month. The packs have been releasing once a month and it was set to come out after the SKP.

Also, DOA PC is fun (and beautiful). I hope they patch in the "Soft Engine" and the 2 stages soon.

 

I heard the Ninja Clan 3 Costume Set releases April 7th.

I was thinking, if there was a true DOA vs VF. I think when it comes to gameplay. The animations should be realistic like VF. But the holds should be able to be reversed like the escape throw commands from VF as in put in 2 certain directional buttons. I think it could work like that.

holy crap the PC is so crap. ps3 graphics + effects, minimum PC alterations no steam achievement if ur that type of person, and no online till 3 months is ridiculous. crap port for an ok fighter. welp tyme 2 fite moar cpu's!!!

 

People should be torrenting this pile of shit not buying, I'm very disappointed in those who are supporting this PC release in full price. Vote with your wallet guys, this is NOT OK by them.
