1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

I'm a fan of the fighting game aspect of DoA but they really do need to chill on their stupid insanely priced dlc practices..its taking advantage of loyal fans, who may or may not have a problem with it but still..It's a distasteful thing to focus on the fan service of a fighting game than to focus on the fighting game itself..

That news doesn't sound good at all. And now I'm kinda worried for the DOA series. I even heard Max and Simmons, talking about that same news the other day too.

They will probably work for a new version of the game during these next 6 months (new chars and stages, maybe a new UI) before the next gen starts.

With that said outside of the DLCs, DOA6 is quite "good". I mean gameplay or graphics, it's solid.

At least they still have DOA, it could be worst... :holla:

Well, let's say just for the sake of argument that DOA6 is the last DOA game Tecmo produces. We'll see if there is still a DOA community in 8 years!:ROTFL: VF's last console release was in 2012 and our community is still here alive, thriving, and growing (very very very slowly):ROTFL: And even worse, we're on last gen consoles.

DOA 6 is on current gen. Hell they have DOA5LR and DOA 6 on current gen, they have nothing to b#tch about. If DOA6 is the last game lets see how the DOA6 community is doing in 2028:LOL:

Yeah, but the bad thing about that, is that alot of them will end up, or be forced to play Tekken, whether they like it or not. And then the other bad thing is, that Tekken will get more spotlight, as being one of the last and only, 3d fighters out there. And there are some people out there, who would love that to happen. And who would also love, if Virtua Fighter never returned to the fighting game scene, unless it's nerfed and evo friendly. I mean believe it or not, there are people who wanted Soul Calibur, and even VF, to never exist. Weird when you think about it. Lol!

Hopefully, the DOA community doesn't get intimidated, and drop DOA to play evo friendly, basic fighting games like Tekken. Because if they do that, then DOA might be gone forever. And that would suck. And Tecmo might end up making, silly plachinko machines with doa themes. Which would be lame.

There are literally millions of PS3s and XBox 360s alive and well and for sale.

The DOA crowd can play older versions of DOA or Virtua Fighter F#CK DOA6

@beanboy I think, you think everybody that play FGs want to be in the E-Sports scene:eek: that's just not true. If Tekken Blew up today and there was no Tekken people who like FGs would still play fighting games. ppl were playing FGs before E-Sports and Evo was a thing, and they'll be playing them after the E-Sports fad has fizzled.

I think you think that as soon as a new console comes out everybody drops their current one in favor of the newest latest thing. Yes some people do that, many many many people don't. Some folks like myself keep all their consoles and play games on all of them. Some days you'll find me on my PS1 and some days you'll find me on one of my PS4s

VF5FS VS mode and Online mode is going to be active for many years to come. No one will be forced to play Tekken 7 or DOA 6. I know plenty of DOA players who never switched to DOA 6 and Tekken players who never switched to Tekken 7. I know SC players who ignored SCV and continued to play SC IV until SC VI came out. I know a few VF players who prefer older VF games over VF5FS and they continue to play the older versions. There is absolutely nothing wrong with playing the older version (especially if its better):sneaky:

The E-Sports thing only has complete control over a certain percentage of players. There is a large percentage that could give a damn about E-Sports,Evo, or going to live tourneys. They play local gatherings, friends, and family and single player. I know a lot of players like that.

Tecmo and Namco can't force ppl to play S!#$

Tecmo released some high society, and school girl uniforms the other day. I will admit, the high society costumes look really good and classy, on those characters. Also did anyone notice, that they are calling it "revival." Interesting.

Master Po is such a poser. He keeps claiming every game is inferior to VF 5 FS, yet he doesnt play VF 5 at all online and apparently has to schedule matches 4 months in advance. What a joker.

You guys keep hating on DOA 6, like that will make VF6 come out any sooner. You keep mentioning all these dickhead reasons not to like Doa 6, the dlc, why even care about dressup? The real problem with DOA 6 and why I stopped playing is the 8-frame input delay on PS4. Apparently its a hardware limitation, because Xbox One X only has 6-frames input delay.

Keep talking shit about Fakurahm in Tekken 7, at least that game is still being supported years after release. Of course Po's criticism of Fakurahm is the most pea-brain complaint imaginable : his appearance. I downloaded Fak for T7, he actually plays alot like Jean Kujo, lots of charge moves and cancellable charges.

Ignorant people make petty complaints about other fighting games without giving them a chance.

Not a big fan of Tekken 7 by any means but Harda is a role model in post launch support. Easily the best supported game. Excellent pace of DLC and choices and the guests are done better than other games too.

Still hoped to see more "creative" dlcs, like doa 5 had with Tatsunoko collab or Deception.
Also i'm still angry that they never made a costume based on my entry (when they were asking fans to do a design), haha.

I'm surprised they stopped with the DLC. I hope they have something planned like an updated game like DOA5 Ultimate.

You were in that fan competition too? Cool!:holla:
Which DOA character, did you make a costume for?

Pai Chan, of course! (so it's not "doa character" kinda :ROTFL: )

Yeah, I really hope so. It would be sad if DOA disappeared.
DOA2 is still my favourite DOA game.

Personally to me DOA hasn't been good since 4. 5 was ok and the VF guests certainly helped to give it credibility, but the system changes were all over the place and over complicated.

To top it off they made my main Jann Lee sound like a strangled chicken and I've never forgiven them for that. Then there's the dlc costume nonsense AND lack of a customization option (I like to dress up my characters)

The played the hell out of 2 Hard*Core and Ultimate and the only reason I got an original Xbox was DOA3.

4's lobby system was really cool and unique in that you could dress up your little avatar. They dropped all of that with 5 and 6.

Maybe it's just me but DOA just hasn't felt the same since 4.

That DOA5 LR dlc costume thing was ridiculous. About $1500 worth of dlc costumes. Instead of putting more mechanics in the game, they decided to put all of their efforts making tons of silly costumes. But then again, there were alot of DOA fans, who strangely wanted that.

I hope that Tecmo and doa fans, are trying to figure out a way, to revitalise DOA6 without letting some silly outside party, or tecmo's greed, mess up the game any further. Personally, I think both Tecmo and doa fans, might be working on something. Despite what happened to DOA6, they should consider this a temporary setback, and not take too long and make it a permanent one. Also, I hope they still plan to make and release a DOA7 game, in the next couple of years.

It's kind of sad that the DOA volley ball beach game, that gets advertised alot on tecmo's youtube channel, gets more characters every few months than DOA6.
