I must be one of the few that liked the VF anime enough to watch the first season several time /versus/images/icons/crazy.gif
I know it wasn't really good but I really enjoyed it enough to watch it even though the image quality sucked /versus/images/icons/crazy.gif
Now if only I could find season 2 of this anime...

But all of this stays secondary to the gameplay... It's because I really liked the game in the first place that I got interested in the characters.

I am hoping VFQuest will be really good!! /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Anyway if you wrote a fanfic I'd be happy to read it ^_^

My comment to Creed was in response to his doltish remark about MENTAL masterbation over the characters in VF...I'm not going to sit here and apologize to you, Zero. There's an obvious masculinity to this entire site and game genre that I'd think you were used to by now. What your reactionary female brain is failing to comprehend is how much I do appreciate and adore women, as you're referring to my previous posts on the subject as well. Most women who are very young, college age, hear a leacherous brute when I speak on the subject, probably because they are seeking equality as humans, not iconic status as "objects". If you're so offended, you can work to get me banned from the site, seeing as how you're a "respected member." If you misunderstand where I'm coming from, it's got something to do with YOUR hang-ups, not mine.

Ah. Well, I was thinking maybe you were one of us ugly Americans. Just based on your style of argument throughout the site, which seems to be your primary focus.

As far as Zero-Chan is concerned, I've already gone on record as being respectful of her, just not based on any kind of position or professionalism. I wasn't necessarily inviting her wrath with my joking comments directly to another person earlier in the thread, but I'm trying to say that I figure most younger folks are going to blow certain things out of proportion, or certain comments, which is what's happened. I probably shouldn't flame on over being called a misogynist or an asshole.

In another thread she already provlaimed her dislike of the things you say that were directed towards her and to a lesser extent to others.
For you to pull the same stunt yet again in this thread and then dare blame her and the fact she is a young woman for having that oppinion and denying her the right to be annoyed becouse her oppinion differs from yourse does indeed show a lack of respect towards her as a human being and as a woman.

Yeah, we start because of graphics and gameplay, but story line does provide at least a modicum of attraction..as for my other point...I believe it still stands, if we are taking the apparent (in this thread) slippery sloap approach.

Anyway there's no slope, I think it's a very valid argument. VF has a point. The point is the gameplay and whatever else sega thinks will attract people walking around an arcade (sound and graphics).
Ask 1000 people who are actually at an arcade, playing VF, in a real life poll, why they put in their quarters. Not 1 in 100 will say the storyline (or the prefight animation or whatever). A few might say "to see the ending" but I doubt it's more than 1 in 20. Ask 1000 people who paid 40+ bucks for PS2 VF4 why they bought it, not one will say the storyline. Storyline just isn't a significant part of the VF series, and never has been. It isn't a significant part of a fighting game. You might as well complain about the lack of storyline in daytona USA. You want enjoyment from a storyline, get the right tool for the job - an RPG or at least some metal gear clone.
