Do you still believe in VF5R for consoles?

I don't want them to port VF until they get it to the FT stage then I want a console release. Otherwise I'll just get left in the dust again with gameplay that is lackluster compared to the arcade.

How hard would it be for Sega to release it as an upgrade to buy for VF5 over XBLA or PSN? Would that make busines sense for Sega?
Sega really p%ss me off sometimes, they have such great untapped potential. For example why didn't Initial D get a decent console release. That title owned the arcades here in Oz anyway for months on end, ppl didn't even know there was a PS2 version you could import.

VF5R needs to come out on consoles. VF5 keeps reminding me of VF5R and it's tormenting me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif . I can't even imagine how long it would take VF6 to come out. Probably in a few years... but I still can't wait that long.

Actually after KS5, I think VF is done and we aren't ever gonna get R for console.

I'm done hoping for it and checking JP sites for info hoping to find something. It's pretty sad and I might play VF to some extent here and there after Plagues gathering, but I really think im gonna stop for the most part. SEGA has validated themselves to me as a company who doesnt give a shit about the foreign VF community and I refuse to support a company like that to any extent. In my eyes, VF5r in the arcades has one purpose and that is to nickel and dime the addicts in order to pay the rent at club sega. Sad shit.

Yeah shame on you Sega for making a living out of the arcades.

Damn, Gerald, these are harsh words coming from you bro. Knowing that you're one of the guys who knows the most about VF5R coming to console (or not) on this site and reading that you gave up hope really makes a statement to me.
I don't mind as bad on my end because I never got my hopes up in the first place. I wrote various emails bc it was all I could do within my circle of influence but there's only so much anyone of us here can really do besides keep wishing, hyping and getting our hopes up.

At this point, I hope that Namco/Bandai buy VF /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
Yeah, I said it. It would be better to see VF get the Namco treatment than to not see it at all /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
Oh well, it was a good ride while it lasted. I'm sure I will enjoy VF5 for a good while longer before I totally give it up.

I do have hope that less than 5 years from now there will be some form of new fighter that at least comes close to VF released on one of my consoles.

Sega would never actually say "no, we arent gonna make it". They get alot more mileage out of stringing along the dedicated fans like the ones on this board. If they never gave an answer to what I think is already the truth, they would run less risk of being possibly hated by former fans. Instead, those fans would most likely keep hoping for something that will never happen much like the shenmue crew. Anyways, seriously fuck sega. I hope they burn in hell. I play one game,VF, by my choice obviously and it so happens the one game I love is the ONLY one with no future. Blaze blue, tekken, KOF, sf are all gonna be around for a while. I envy the fans of those games.

LA what are you talking about? have you got some new info or are you just speculating? have you seen Shenmue3 somewhere? because that game is not even made afaik, and to compare R to Shenmue3 is downright retarded.

And Tekken fans have been waiting far longer than VF fan dude.

Get a hot milk and some cookies, then go to bed, I can see that today is not your day man.

    How about explaining why.

?? Far longer? Explain yourself again because right now it seems like you're the one spitting retarded lines out your ass.

The comparison is they will keep stringing the VF fans on as long as they can like they did with shenmue. Is Shenume 3 ever gonna be made? I can assure you some people still believe in sega to make it.

Tekken fans got tekken 5, tekken5dr as DLC and are getting tekken 6BR with extra shit not even in the arcade version which namco announced a YEAR before the actual release. They understand that to keep loyal fans you have to fill them in on info to at least show them they aren't forgotten. Also, the most important imo, someone that really wanted tekken 6 could have bought the arcade version NO PROBLEM. VF5r is not for sale and lease ONLY to those who live in japan. I talked to two people at AM2/SEGA and begged them to buy an R board but they just said NO.

I entrust you to keep the faith for as long as it takes for sega to bring a new vf to the consoles. 5, 10 years, maybe. I'm done putting energy into it as I have other hobbies I really love.

This. Tekken 6 was announced in 2005 and I'm still waiting man.. Though yeah, we got console announcements and info coming steadily, but if you think about it, Xbox fans had to wait til TGS08 to get an official word, much like our situation with R.

Comparing it to Shenmue doesn't make sense to me. Shenmue 3 never existed, unlike VF5R which is actually out and working out there in Japan. Just wait a bit more, Ver. B or Ver. C. I don't know why lose your hopes so suddenly.

Suddenly? Its been 9 months since the arcade was released. If we got an annoucement today, it would most liley be another 6-7 months. How is that "suddenly"?

Compared to my 4 years of waiting for Tekken, 9 months is suddenly.

EDIT: It also took KOF12 and BlazBlue 1 year to receive a console announcement.

Not every Tekken fan lives close to an Arcade with Tekken 6. There aren't that many.

Actually, SEGA does a lot of work on VF. Since vf4evo, they added two more characters so total is 4 new ones for each generation. Good strategy to extend VF life and now "R" does the same stuff. I believe the fellowing series will do the same steap no doubt. However, they did only in Japan.......

I'm on LA's site, a company should at least catch the loyal fans attenction, which means at leat announce somthing!! I still believe SEGA finally will release "R" on both consoles but the point is how long we still need to wait?? One more year??

KS5 and coming version is a key point, otherwise, we probably need to wait until 2010.....

Wasn't there a large gap between Evo and VF5 for consoles?

Sega always does this shit though, they screw themselves and the fans. They come out with something, then immediately make something better making your reason for getting or playing a little irrelevant. They do it with their games, and they did it with their consoles.

It's biting them in the ass big time right now, before it was a lil sting(when they had to pull out of console first party), now they're about to go out of business.

They keep playing around. Well, atleast from Namco for fighters we're getting T6BR(cause 2d fighters are just too "limited" imo).

VF5R isn't coming out forget that shit. It's messed up.

Hey, guess what. You dont need to wait for comsole version of any of those games to play it. You can BUY KOF, BB and tekken 6/tekken6BR. Can you buy VF5r? Of course not. Not letting the dedicated fans overseas have the chance to even buy the game if they wanted to is ridiculous to me.
