Do you still believe in VF5R for consoles?

it's just a background image for the character intros that VF.net members get every month. It's no lottery, it's nothing, just move on.

So there is still hope /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

All of these titles have been known for a while to be appearing at E3. This is just an official release of individually released information being compiled into one PR message to keep those games being marketed.

I would hope Sega would save an announcement of 5R during E3. If not then screw Sega.

Although thinking about it, I wonder why Sega would wait to make an announcement @ E3 for a niche game like VF?
like its a big shock/suprise to the games industry & gamers?

Unless they are going all out to promote it too bring in a larger audience. After all it has been the year of the fighter,
it would be a silly time not to announce it...

    found this post on gaf...

"I just spoke to Sega France's PR Manager about their games being shown at E3. He told me that they won't announce new games during the show. But he also told me that they'll announce a new game this Friday (May 29th) and that it won't be a "huge surprise". He then told me "that means no Shenmue III. Fortunately" (I have been asking him about Shenmue III for years)."

... and i'm thinking (hoping) that it might just be what we've all been waiting for. I think the timing makes sense with all the emails weve sent since october, the release of arcade R ver B and even that image from the arcade that looks like the xbox logo.

I'm really praying for this one, guys and gals.

I think it's safe to say everyone here is praying for this to be 'the' moment. Please don't let us down again, Sega!

As you said, it makes perfect sense to announce the game now. Both for the reasons you mentioned, as well as the fact that announcing the title now would mean it will probably take advantage of the hype Street Fighter 4 has created for the fighting game genre and get more people to buy the game. Let's hope Sega is confident enough about the game's chances of success.

    EDIT: Great find, btw!

That would be something, maybe SEGA will actually redeem themselves.

If L_A is positive about the possibility, then I have my fingers crossed too!

    C'mon SEGA, make it happen

That whole "Not a huge surprise" thing has got me really excited. Kinda sad isn't it? Not a huge surprise for them but half the people here would have a heart attack and everyone who migrated away from VF would surge back like a fucking tidal wave.

Man...this better be 5R ver. B or my mind is going to explode.

Sega is sadistic with the VF community.

I imagined it being true... and I cried a little bit, seriously. Those were pure tears of happiness, even if only imagined one. That, even if it turns out to be something else than 5R, is the best thing I read in a long time. Thank You LA!

If SEGA truely isn't announcing any new games during E3 then we're done for.

The last game announced to be shown at E3 by SEGA was Alien Vs Predator.

I'm still holding out for SEGA announcements at E3, they always announce new things no matter what stage of the current console lifecycle is in.

Then again, VF5R isn't "New" by any means, and a port could be on the announcement cards.

Same with a shining force, Yakuza 3 etc etc

This Weekend guys, this will be the first thing I look for and I'm hoping our hopes and dreams come true here.

But, be prepared for the soul shattering worst.

EDIT: my bad, theres still 1 game to be announced, though I stand by my not "New" argument. :p

As much as I want to believe the announcement will be VF5R, I really think it will be Yakuza 3 or some type of Sonic shit...

If we don't get VF5R... I hate to say it, but this place is going to be a fucking ghost town.

Don't get too excited. I simply don't know anything for sure until it hits. I am being optimistic though.
