Do you still believe in VF5R for consoles?

It looks like the Sonic All-Star Racing game was the announcement.

I'd be very shocked if 5R was announced tomorrow or at E3.

This is getting really lame how Sega treats this community. If they aren't going to release the game just tell us. It's not like they are making more money from us by telling us that 5R won't be coming out on consoles.

All good brahs, 15 years from now we can just play it on our computers via roms.

Sega might just be letting Tekken6 come out first just to see what game modes and extras are included in that game before they even announce a release for R.

This way they can top or at least match what Tekken6 offers and who knows, maybe Sega's got a few tricks up their sleeves that they're not trying to reveal yet and have those tricks stolen like the whole items and customization was among who knows what other things moves or styles were stolen from VF at some point. Sega's gotta play this one real smart.
Why go for a layup when you can set up the pick and nail the game winning three-pointer.

That's too bad. I wish Sega was more caring about their overseas market. Anyways I'm moving on to Tekken until VF5R is out.

I think it's better for any of you guys who have interests in other fighting games on what they'll get soon, be it Blaze Blue, KOF12 or T6br. It's better to just concentrate on what you have or about to have than wait for an uncertain thing that you may or may not get.

I believe what Tony is saying is true. I said it before, we will be playing VF5R but not any time sooner. Maybe around December to February next year they'll release the game with ver.c instead of ver.b.

So guys, forget about the game and just relax and enjoy what you have. Waiting will just make things worse.

Sega didn't delete the VF5 forum on its site. They just put it in the 'forum archive'. Second forum from the top...

Year of the fighter so I'm keeping my hopes up for an announcement before 2010. But like Zakira said, I'm on hour three of HDR tonight and no nore VF until 5R. I'll pick up KOFXII and BB as well and possibly MvC2HD.

Guys, I decided it's time to take some action.

I'm going to set myself on fire in front of Sega offices. Who is with me?

    Dude, I said that...

There's no VF topic on the new page... You can't post in the archive. Thus, there is no active VF thread on SEGA's forums.

    good ole sega.

btw the difference between namco not releasing vanilla 6 and waiting on BR is that they atleast announced the game for console release already.

The problem with Sega is the uncertainty imo.

The other difference is that anyone CAN buy a Tekken 6 arcade machine and have always been able to while VF5R is lease only for people living in japan.

I don't think Yakuza 3 is in the states yet. And my Japanese is not good enough to play the entire game without sub titles /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

One non-confirmed news from the owner of the arcade store in Beijing. Based on his lead, he pointed out SEGA is going to release VF5R oversea version in August. I think most owners are preparing now.
If this does happen, SEGA will probably announce this policy soon.
