I'm going to be working as a family counselor after I graduate in a few months helping prevent child-abuse.

 

I'm a technical support specialist for Broadview Networks, a leading telecommunications provider in the Northeast of U.S.A.

If someone in my company has a computer related issue that prevents them from working its my job to troubleshoot/fix it or forward it to someone within the company who can.

I work at the headquarter office where the top executives are based out of so I'm the guy who they look to if they have computer problems. My fellow IT co-workers from other offices do not envy my responsibility. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

A WAN/LAN administrator can see network traffic as to where packets are flowing through various IP addresses. One sure thing is they will see the route from your location to the proxy.

Some sites are blocked by a web filter program to certain users and some sites are blocked from everyone (myspace, facebook) by IP address.

As I walk to a person's workspace to check on an issue I see other users have Myspace or Facebook on their screen which tells me they are using a proxy. Its not my job to reprove them from viewing a particular site.

If someone pleads me about viewing blocked sites I tell them that its possible but I can't give out the information. I will not be an accomplice if they get caught looking at a site they are not supposed to.

WTF is that IP number for, does it show the last site you viewed or what?

 

Gearing up for State Police, where from there I will either go SWAT, or do whatever it takes to become a Detective. I have a physical fitness test and a written exam next monday.

Yo I was actually in school for graphic design immediately after I got out of the military, but we were getting screwed on G.I. Bill money earlier.

You know how sometimes you look back on one small thing changing and then wonder what you'd actually be or where you'd be as a result?

I think I'm going to bounce around careers my whole life.

The VP of IT said they are doing layoffs for the entire company. There was two people in my position at my office and they felt they only needed one person for the job. They decided to let me go for I have worked longer than the other employee and I was making more money. They are giving me a severance package and are willing to give me a good referral for future employment.
