dude, lets save matches when I don't SUCK! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

just wanted to say, if u have access to a 360 and u don't totally hate DOA, this game is worth playing while we wait for VF5, especially since most of us don't have FT, and even those that do only meet up couple times a week. U can play this online every day in your spare time. This game is actually good practice for fighting games in general, since it's system rewards correct yomi so heavily. But, if you've always thought DOA is basically 2-D fighting with little technical depth, Itagaki didn't put the real work into DOA4 to try and change your mind. Which is too bad, but still a fun and addictive game. Also makes you realize what a shame it is that VF5 won't be coming to the 360 (I'm guessing), since the online infrastructure is there to have vf.net, vf.tv etc all running out of the gate (let alone online play).

maybe, maybe not... i to was suffering from tremendous lag for a few days. Then from calling my internet provider and listening to the random records for trouble shooting while I was on hold. I realized my problem was I had my cordless phone, and router sitting on top of my cable modem. I had rearranged some stuff around in my room and didn't think stacking those things could actually make them interfere with each other. I then Seperated everything apart an now lag is none existant 90+% of the time. Of course it's impossible not to have some, but for the most part I don't get to much. I sessioned with a guy from japan and a guy from korea this morning with a few other USA cats in the room and we had no probs what so ever. Just do some trouble shooting and see what's up. If not then maybe try a better internet provider if your serious about playing the game I guess.

also try doing a speed test and see where your at... www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

thx for the advice, but i hav made sure nothing its getting any stray EMI/RFI interferance (i bought a "gun" to tell you)

and my eithernet cable is only 2meters at most AND ive put ferrite chokes on it for more anti EMI/RFI rejection!

i think the real problem is that 90% of the people who hav xbox3D0 LIVE have this game!!!

and this is causing the lag! ESP when that fookin "lounge" can hav peeps walkin about raping more bandwith even tho ur playing a one on one!

i went on ridge racer 6 last night (about 6/8hours ago) and there was only TWO people hoasting!

1 english with 4 other peeps an 1 korean all by himself!

    cos every ones on DOA4

I just got my X-box 360 and also got DOA4 along with it. I have an HDTV and I must say DOA4 looks DAMN good on it. Clearly a next generation leap from FT arcade. "Hardcore gamers" like to make fun of DOA but I think Team Ninja is getting a lot closer in 4. DOA is the only fighting game that moves and feels like a movie--I am in awe just watching the game in motion.

Of course the gameplay is still DOA gameplay, but you can tell Team Ninja is trying to add more depth and complexity to it (i.e. reward those who know the game more versus those who can guess well). I've only played it for a couple hours though but it already feels like the game is not going to be balanced. I think in another generation or two DOA can have the depth to rival the other fighting games that we play.

P.S. Hayabusa...whoa. Team Ninja knows how to do ninja. I hope AM2 is taking notes.
