    Won't you feel bad if Jesus turns up at E3 and announces FS for consoles :p

    Joking aside I do think that if we don't hear anything by E3 a console version is very unlikely.

    I'd love it if FS gets announced but it kinda feels like getting hyped about it is just like pissing in the wind [IMG]

    Yah, they're all titles from within the last year. With it being a financial report for 2011, i'd find it very strange if they mentioned a four year old game in there.

    I meant FS for arcade, seeing as they listed income from other arcade titles.

    If SEGA were to actually bring VF5 home again, I would flip out, and it would be a sure sign it's the SEGA I loved once again.

    I mean, we got PSO2 coming out and it's already sounding legit. We have a possible release of a proper Sonic game, somehow. There's even crazy ass talk of Yu Suzuki regaining working status (not just mascot status) to come back and finish up Shenmue. But that's all internet talk, and we know how that route can (and often does) go.

    But man, just the idea of having the current VF. I would be so damn content.

    Alot of ppl are complaining about it coming out only for PC and only in Japan... PSU turned alot of ppl off especially due to the control scheme...

    But yeah, here's hoping Sega does make some good power moves...

    I don't see a problem with PSO being on PC. That's the only way I play mmo's.

    Guys, if I could play devil's advocate for a minute, I'd like to ask everyone, is Final Showdown really the game we've been waiting for? I know being VF deprived for so long has affected our collective judgment, and I'm starting to wonder if the hype going around for this game is even justified.

    Think about it. Final Showdown is essentially a tweaked version of VF5. Now granted a lot of stuff has changed, but the things that have changed are really only interesting to the hardcore crowd. The rest of the world will look at this game and think, "Wow, look, it's a new version of that game I didn't buy four years ago. Wait a minute, it took them four years to add two new characters, stick in some costumes, and tweak the movelist? What a joke!".

    Bottom line, without serious effort put into the console port of Final Showdown to differentiate it from the previous home release of VF5, Sega would just be setting itself up for another failure. Now if I actually believed for a second that Sega knew what it would take to make a Final Showdown home release successful, I might not be so concerned. But my thinking is, if they released a home version of Final Showdown today, it would flop, and only serve to solidify Sega's belief that there is no place for VF in the console game market.

    I tried to tell this very thing to people here in late 2008/early 2009 about R a few months before FS was even mentioned. My contribution to the R petition was discarded because it said "I would rather wait for a new VF game rather than an update to VF5" or something of that nature. That's fine and all but my point is that people here want what they don't have and other than the 100 or so hardcore VF players outside japan, FS to everyone else within a few months would become old hat.

    I want the fans here to be happy and get their game. Personally, I could care less either way when it comes to the actual game but what I would really like is the chance to see everyone again. Hands down the best part of playing this game is the wonderful people iv'e met through it and im sure many others feel the same.

    It's really tough to tell what sega is gonna do until the actual time comes. Even insider info from SOJ is fairly vague and things change internally based on many factors. AFAIK it should be at e3 but you never know for sure. One thing for certain is that sega realizes that any iteration of VF5 will never be a million seller and if they want to make any profit at all, the game will need to be a digital download with alot DLC to push the numbers.

    I would be in heaven if they added a decent dojo with VF4EVO-like features. Oh and not to mention actual CG's and a story >.<. Damn it Sega, that's all you need to make VF a top seller out here!!!!

    Then there isn't anything we can do for VF at this point [IMG]. Well, I'm pretty sure that's been established for a while...

    It's true bout' the whole 'it's only a slight change from vanilla VF5'. Us hardcore VF players are stuck with normal VF5 which is strangely fine with me >.>

    Better than no VF...

    In order to promote current(future) VF, a good tutorial is necessary. SEGA can not expect every player who possess the experience about VF and then purchasing this game disc. If there is still no announcement during this year(I count TGS as well), we will never be able to play VF series anymore until next generation consoles come out.

    VF will never be a fighting game that will beat SF, MvC, or MK in popularity. However, it is up to the community to promote and get the word out because leaving that up to SEGA would be foolish based on SEGAs history.

    Doing things like...
    * Weekly streaming events
    * Training Videos
    * Gatherings
    * Sending messages to players via PSN and XBL about VFDC

    Could help the community and hopefully build it like VF5 360 did with the online play feature.

    I don't care what none of you dudes think and about VF players who still wish to play a newer iteration of a good fighting game.. I still welcome any new version of VF5. While i can't sit here and wait forever because life goes on I'll keep a eye out for news and other various info. Only a loser or someone who can't see things unless it right under there nose not realize that sometimes a slight adjustment can work wonders for somethings in life. Surely i can understand why the people who so desperately waited for Final tuned and got shafted feel this way about not getting any love with R or FS. I never waited for VF4:FT or played Evo much so this wait is something new for me. I've been patient for plenty things but hell if it gets here it gets here. there are plenty more games to play to burn time.

    I'm surprised some people still believe FS is coming out for consoles... wake up seriously. There's so many other things to look forward to anyways, better off waiting for VF6 on the PS4 or Xbox 720.
