There's still a tiny chance that FS can come out. Let's assume Ver.A is final fucking version, so that AM2 won't revise VF arcade anymore.

The conflict for SEGA is how to gain the profit between arcade and console, but abandoning the population now for both 360 and PS3 is too unwise.

We will see, but I agree with what you said on the previous page; this year has to be the time FS gets released. Fingers crossed for E3 and TGS.

I'm actually immune for those events, and the only thing relative is about VF. No strong feeling for GOW3 and SC5, and all I want is FS could be at least announced. If FS comes on WII2 exclusively, I'd purchase that shit on day1. Btw, do we have DMC5 this time? Or any other good ACT games?? I've been waiting for Spike out for couple years!!

Arcsys can manage both console and arcade players while keeping both versions up to date... Why can't Sega do the same??? Plus Sega makes more money than Arcsys I believe, so "finances" shouldn't be the issue...

What surprises me is that the BBCS2 update was released on consoles for free (charactes $$ DLC admittedly).

Reality is not perfect, plus VF is not a million sells. The win win situation is hard to achieve by SEGA. Imagine if you have 100M/100M internet and you can log on XBL/PSN every night instead of walking into the local arcades, how would you arrange your happy time? SEGA realize that releasing console version has limited effect to actually bring the new players involve with VF, so the major targets are still on those players who already play at the arcades. Each disc copy is about $60 and let's assume each set in arcade is $0.5, any casual VF player can easily contribute over 100 sets on each card, and don't even mention those addictive, enthusiasm users who can insert their coins into the arcade machine over 1,000 times!!

    Re: E3 2011

I understand, but if you think about it, most if not all high level players that take games seriously don't normally take online play over going to the arcades, or simply just going over a friend's house and battling it out there in person... I've talked to people like Dark Geese and other high level players on the DreamCancel.com forums and even he says that top players in most games don't necessarily play online, or do so rarely... Granted, that has changed slightly over the course of time with SSF4 being one of a few games people play online, but its not a constant thing... I'm pretty sure for Sega there's a ton of ppl in Japan that play it in arcades, but I mean over here its like "what's an arcade, let alone VF?"... So having them both released and updated is something that would benefit them highly, but for the console version, they would obviously have to add a bunch of things to build/draw the fanbase, and attract newcomers whether it be for the story, the vast options in the tutorial, or just for those cats that like to deck their character out in a bunch of gear... They would have to go all out for the console version, and keep it in sync with the arcade version... BB did all of that... They even update the training mode so that you're not practicing combos that don't work anymore... I'm pretty sure that their console release is not even affecting their arcade sales either, so its ultimately a win/win... Sega on the other hand, has to "capture" the non-Japanese audience with 1.-Flashy graphics/good music 2.-Deep story 3.-Deep tutorial/training mode (so no one can say "It's too deep its hard" 4.-Bonus content...

Think about it-- MK9 did exactly that, and they don't even have arcade releases (so no extra money backing them up), so if this game was mad garbage, I'm pretty sure it would've been probably the last MK to be released in a very long time, if at all... But they went all out on it, and told the consumers what to expect, and they gave em just that... Granted, the netcode is iffy for some (maybe a bunch of players), but the hype was so massive, and the devs were communicating with the playerbase so much that they could rest assure that whatever problems they saw, they knew those were going to be fixed a.s.a.p... And the competition is so massive, that even cats like Justin Wong tried to tier whore with Kung Lao for easy dough in tournaments...

Brisal if you go to this bring the 4 following items: sonic doll, rope, stick, and lighter. I'm sure u get the idea. Someone needs too call sega out on this if it doesn't get released. I know what youre thinking what if I get kicked out of E3 who cares isn't that the only game we care about, just as long as they don't bring some cops or the law into it u should be ok. You could also boo loud as hell if they don't anounce it to be on the safe side.

Sega would do just fine, and definitely should, release a new VF edition, which they have not done in the post-SF4 era.

That DOES make a difference. The fighting community has changed.

The problem is we can't say that Sega has changed, and they would need to. They will need to follow the lead of Capcom, Namco and even Netherrealms and get involved in the community, support events, push the game.

Regardless, the fighting community is ready for another VF.

I don't think anyone posted this yet, so here is Sega's E3 2011 lineup:

    Anarchy Reigns
    Binary Domain
    Captain America: Super Soldier
    Guardian Heroes
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games
    Renegade Ops
    Rise of Nightmares
    SEGA Rally Online Arcade
    Sonic Generations
    Additional surprises

Did you hear that guys?! "Additional surprises"! That could only mean one thing... Sega cares about us just enough to give us a week before shattering our false hope! That was sure nice of them.

If there is no VF I'll be near enough happy with guardian heroes. So long as sega don't mess it up like they've done with loads of other classics, that is.

Also, didn't Sega tell Play Magazine that there would be some "huge fighting franchise" to return at this year's E3?

There may still be hope. Either they wanna keep it a surprise or they just... what, forgot about the huge petition?

Sega arcade hits series of xbox live arcade? You'd think Xbl would be a natural home for the greatest arcade game maker there was.
Daytona, virtua cop, virtua fighter series all leading the chare

Well actually, both PS3 and 360 got Sega Rally Online Arcade, basically a port of SR3 while maintaining all its online functionality. It's one of the only games we got that uses Sega's ALL.NET netcode and system.
You know what else uses it.

Hopefully we might get more. Air Burst: Border Break on consoles, if sold online for slightly more than AB Climax and SROA, would sell like hotcakes, but I'm just dreaming here. D:

Is this the name for the half hearted trash sega bolted on to VF5 and virtua ON:OT? Because the online system for both of those games is terrible. They seriously need to come up with something better.
