I need to preface that I'm a french Canadian, so you may not think that I have a "sufficient understanding of the community". But I am white and I do speak rather fluid english so maybe it balances out?

Now, I have to wonder how someone who does travel quite a bit and visits different pockets of the community would somehow not be apt at "sufficient understanding of the community". Common sense would dictate that someone who has seem multiple pockets of community would probably have a better understanding of the cummunity as a whole.

I respectfully disagree. I believe the mayhem should proceed until he is banned, he makes amens, or the retirement match happens between chef_frash and emx, on video, posted here. Until then he's still gonna post and hit the shoutbox, and it'll just be more of this stuff anyway. Also, it's all mildly entertaining when work gets slow.

I can't honestly speak for some people who have threatened you but I just want to mention something that happened at last years event about an online rivalry: ice-9 and Shang.

Months before the meetup these guys would chide each as if they met in real life they would stab the other in the chest. I will never forget when they met at Plague's house that they greeted each other with a smile and a handshake. Then they took their personal beef into some great games of VF.


Of course after the event they were back to shit-slinging as usual. heh heh /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif
