I'm finally back online! So I'm up for EBC challenges. anyone want a piece of me?

 

I was told some of PReP's recent matches showed considerable improvement and asked for links to the archived streams. PReP specified that his controller is giving him trouble so i won't be commenting on combo optimization. Here are my comments:

• Frequent use of OS PPK when not sideturned. The string is not guaranteed and the last hit is VERY punishable. In such instances PP6PK or P3P are preferable.
• Frequent use of OS 2KPP when sideturned. The string is not guaranteed on side NH. If fishing for side CH 3K is preferable.
• Lack of 66K+G from sideturn/after an evade. It's even better than 3K mentioned above since it will also work on NH/RH.
• Lack of OS 66P+G from sideturn.
  
• Lack of DS 1P+K and 4P+K. IMHO the optimal range for 1P+K is that uncomfortable distance where DS K can CH but the KK followup will whiff. 4P+K is really good when your opponent breaks a sidethrow (frequent after KK).
• Lack of string delays. OS 4PK, DS 6P3K and DS P+KP have delayable followups that tend to hurt. If not delayed it's easier for the opponent to defend both against them and against a possible throw mixup.
• Frequent use of DS 3K after 44K+G max charge. The move will only score you a knockdown against a staggered opponent. If blocked you are left at -6. In such instances K is preferable: it will float a staggered opponent and, if blocked, the threat of the followup maintains the pressure.
• Lack of 6P+K+G after random knockdowns/near walls. In such instances the move will frequently connect and free damage is always good. Also, an opponent busy recovering from a fall might miss the stance switch.
• Frequent throw punishment. In such instances guaranteed punishment might be preferable. Sometimes all you need is PK for 30ish guaranteed damage to finish off your opponent. And OS 6P+K punishment (when available) overshadows the average throw damage. IMHO even OS KPP is preferable to a throw attempt.

Things i liked:

• OS 4K6 > react to what your opponent is doing. Very fancy, i never had the reflexes to pull it off. PReP bringing back Intruder Step!
• OS 66KK. Can't go wrong with it vs an opponent that doesn't have a knee sabaki/reversal (such as Wolf).
• DS IP K+G. I still don't understand how that move fits into the IP gameplan. Yet you landed it a bunch. It feels like you have unlocked a secret tech.

Anyway this Sunday I will prefere to stream since 9PM CEST if it is OK with everyone cause of kids being off-house, so relaxing movie evening with my wife, pizza and mead should happen once upon time again
