Hajime no Ippo is a boxing manga/anime. Never seen it so can't comment on quality... but while watching it, is it going to remind you of King Of Fighters as it should be animated? Probably not.

Kenichi is a good anime. Too bad it ended a bit too early.

Personally never tried to copy VF disciplines, but basically all big characters in fighting games are my secret motivation when in the gym.

Not sure if SRS, but if so, careful with that. That throw is quite brutal if the person throwing isn't quite sure of what he's doing/there is a big weight difference. If the chest contact isn't maintainted throughout, bruised/broken ribs can happen.

    Bleh.

LOL, copying Goh's throws on your little brother?
Umm yeah agree not a good idea... a lot of his throws are high-level. Goh only makes it look easy and "safe".

I'm a big fan of Ippo. Although the pacing is slow as heck, it's got some really nice action sequences. Very different style from KOF though, so it's hard to compare.

Have a look and see if it suits your tastes.

Sorry to say I don't really like Air Master or Kenichi. My favourite manga for fight scenes is probably Musashi No Ken, but the anime pales in comparison.

On doing VF moves, I German Suplexed some of my friends before for fun. Soft surface and I made sure not to drop them on their heads of course.

I often use a couple of Goh's take downs on my kids. I don't use full force on them of course. But I do toss them around a bit when we wrestle.

The great thing about Judo, is that size and strength don't really matter.

That sounds nice, but the grim reality is that while judo can let you mitigate the difference in size and strength with technique, when the technique is equal then "size and physical power" is what gives the edge.

You can't really say that they "don't matter". The motto of judo is "maximum efficiency with minimum effort", but when you have more power to be used efficiently then it'll naturally let you be more effective.

I do a lot of Wolf's throws on my daughter just messing around in the living room. I do most of Brad's command list at the gym or at home.

    I want to do Akira's [4][6][6][P]+[K].

Reminds me of those "size doesn't matter, it's what you do with it that counts" guys with little winkies. As if every man with a big stonk is bad in bed. Hahaha.

    Sorry to lower the tone.

Plague, you look like a guy that can handle himself. Did you play ball or do martial arts?

Btw, your hair slicked back looks cool. Evil Ryu style is cool too haha.

EDIT: also, my one regret last tournament was blurting out I'd rather play another game. But I just "discovered" 3rd Strike at the time....
