@Chanchai - You're correct! And thanks for the support as well as others in the shoutbox, I do take responsibility for all my trash talking up to evo though so I await the "i told you so" and such.

Kamaage really looks like a young Sylvester Stallone. I kept thinking of Rocky whenever I saw him . His match with Gentlemen Thief was one of my favourite.

Want to give a shoutout to everyone I met at Evo this year. Quite nice to finally be able to put faces to names I see online. Finally being able to attend a VF tournament was great. I do wish I could have made it out of pools after being so close, but I have no problem losing cleanly to good players. Hopefully I can gain more tournament exposure now that VF is getting some more attention.

Specific shoutouts:

Akai - For being able to meet the person behind all of that VFDC content, and finding out how great you are in person.

GentlemanThief: For representing the US with his performance, and proving it isn't free for the Japanese.

Jaxel: For hosting the stream and supporting the VF community.

Was a great tournament, and here's to hoping for another one at the next Evo.

I also live in Hawaii,Waikiki but mostly everyone I met from the Funworks/factory scene just plays mainstream stuff like SSF4 or UMVC3 so I never stuck with them.

The only thing I think we can do is start something at Pcgamerz since thats where they mostly go right? So we should hold a tourney or post flyers.

I hate the drive over there but I would definitely go if you guys were interested.

Man what a tournament and a great turnout. It really might of been a once in a lifetime thing to see so many VF players in one place. I'm glad I was there if that's the case. Let's hope that's not the case though. Good job everyone who got top 16. Some of those brackets were killer-nerve-wracking stuff. And good effort to everyone else. We only had the game like a month and there was some tough competition there.

It was awesome meeting everyone I hadn't before like the UK guys who were cool as hell and Akai who's one of the nicest guys and Masang Lion (say hi to Dobi for me) and everyone else. And a shout out to the Cali guys who are always cool to hang out with and to Flash and Gentleman Thief and everyone from the other states/countries as well. Hopefully we'll all get to do this again next year. Here's hoping.

Oh and amazing commentary from Shidosha, Plague and everyone else. You guys made the event even that much special.
