& also u said it yourself vega is 50/50 so theres nothing wrong there either is it - its a guessing game which is the whole point of vega.

those are some crazy matches on ST. I remember seeing Daigo use Balrog and he did some crazy corner trap.

 

Those matches are not ST. Its AE, big difference.

Battle is a Battle Shag regardless. CE Sagat and CE Guile are both CE so i guess a asswhuppin' is a asswhuppin' lol!!

anywho CE Guile was not that strong in CE thats why i still bug out at AE damage levels involving these 2.

Claw's wall dive is a meaty cross-up, meaning it's safe, and as the opponent you have no real way of knowing which way to block. And it knocks down in ST, meaning a successful wall dive achieves a perfect reset of the situation. Hence the term 'wall dive loop' being thrown around often regarding Claw.

Cross ups are basically known in ST as 'gambling without risk' for the person on offense. And Claw's cross up wall dive is so powerful that top Claw players in Japan were softbanning the technique from their play (though I've seen a lot of them use it during X-Mania and Tougeki).

Daigo plays a lot of characters proficiently in ST, Boxer, Zangief , Dee Jay, Guile, of course he's best with Ryu but his Boxer and O.Sagat are some of the best in the world.

The video posted earlier featured the player Kuroda, of SFIII: Third Strike fame, and he is really incredible in that game. He's ranked #1-3 for nearly all 19 characters across the entire game and there isn't a character where he's ranked out of the top five best in the world. He knows the game inside and out. In these two videos watch Kuroda take the low tier character Q and run through basically top players playing the top tier characters over and over. Though 3S "sucks ass" those matches are still impressive.

 

Man that shit is busted, too... Just pick either Ken, Gouki, or Devilot and its ggs... Sirlin had to "balance" it, and supposedly even that mode is busted...

Devilot and Akuma? It was Ken and Donovan who were tops in puzzle fighter.

 

In the recent version of Puzzle Fighter, Devilot and Gouki were considered top tier. In the previous version, Ken was top tier. I already mentioned that in my first post. Donovan was considered top tier, but apparently there were people who said that was debatable (I'll find the source). But even in the original, Gouki was still a force to be reckoned with.

 

ggac, garou, kof98um, ngbc; all pretty well balanced games if you ask me.

ggac is definitely more balanced than vf5 ver. c, but 5r seems to be much better in that regard.

edit: where does one find a tekken 6 tier list that hasn't been shat on by the community? nobody on tz seems to like the arcadia lists but the korean and american lists don't seem to be very well received either.

 

Agreed with the Garou remark. KOF98UM maybe not so much because Krauser is definitely a step ahead of the other chars. I think it was also EX King and EX Geese which were considered fucked up?

I thought the GG franchise was renowned for having broken tier lists aswell?

Didn't play Battle Colosseum! Didn't bother to watch many videos either. So no comments here from me.

I wouldn't know how to comment about VF5R being balanced either (obviously partly because we can only assume so much from videos of the game). I've not played 5R as I say but Taka definitely seems a bit overpowered to me. Massive damage combos, HUGE wall damage and wall carry capability, a 2P which has about the range of a freaking DE! What looks to be a 3K sidekick move with him has some godzilla range and then you also get him being so heavy that certain throws (Akira 46P+G springs to mind) don't work on him, I believe Taka is so heavy he's actually his on weight category in that game and that juggle combos have to be specific to him? (Jeneric or someone else clarify this please)

I liked this thread until Hazzerone ruined it with his horrible attempt at stealing the subaki joke.

Just so you know, Taka has a big weakness that no other character has. Stuff like Jacky's is a natural combo on him.
