I will agree that Berserk does a lot better than most other action manga.. the hyperbolic time chamber is one of the stupidest gimmicks I've ever seen;; Even Guts gets some of that though... the magical black body armor that kills anyone who wears it, except him, apparently... But, as I said, it was enjoyable, just not my favorite. That said, my favorite manga is probably Death Note, so not really a fantasy style there. Kenshin and blade of the immortal are both pretty good, though. And Ichigo 100%... it starts out as kind of a lame comedy, but develops into a really good story by the end of the series.

And yeah... every gundam since wing seems to have been crap. Gundam seed was probably the worst offender in that they put you through 50 episodes of meaningless drivel, and then build up to the massive conclusion... and it boils down to them saying "uh... war sucks, I guess, don't start one". I still have no idea how that series got so popular... I guess people thought the robot fights were well animated, and never really bothered to follow the story or something.

I personally think the newer Gundams are riding on the coat tails of the older series' popularity. From what I hear the newest one Gundam OO is all that good sadly.(I really only heard that from one person though.) I have to say though...Wing had potential...it could have been awesome if I were directing it..XD

One Piece is the best anime ever (my opinion).

Read the first four issues of Death Note recently (3€ a piece, sure, I'll give it a shot) and it falls into the common J-pitfall that it relies a bit too heavily on the supposed coolness of certain characters (DMC style). Luckily the logic sifting keeps it fresh and interesting.

damn, i cant think right now, i got alot more,i kinda grew out of it for a little while, but recently ive just gotten back into anime

 

The last real anime I saw lately was Naruto Shippuden I saw the newer episodes on youtube. I hate all the fake episodes on youtube though. The other good anime I love watching is Bleach and Death Note, Death note especially I love that show and the mind games that exist in it just like VF in a way. I have to watch the other episodes that on youtube as well so i can actually get caught up in what happened in the series up to this point. I haven't tried to keep up with newer animes lately and I might have to PM bad seed to know what new animes to get. I just got a job so I can actually look to order some finally.

 

Death Note went to crap after a certain someone died. Naruto has been crap for years (don't really know if it was ever really any good). As childish as Bleach is, I enjoy watching it. The manga is a lot better, though (less filler tripe).

Claymore is probably the best manga I've read, short of Berserk. Too bad the anime kind of went south after parting ways with the manga's plotline.

I rarely watch anime nowadays. I don't know . . . I just can't relate to most of it. Also, a significant percentage of it is shoujo/high school crap, which I utterly loathe.

 

I watched way, way, way too much anime between 1998-2005.

Seed was semi decent, Destiny was a train wreck. Gundam 00 is really shaping up good though, nothing but praise if you ask me.
Also, Zeta had so much "lol whut?!" moments in dialouge and actions. I can't understand why so many people consider it one of the best gundam series.
