Hi all, Ryan here, just want to let you all know that the tournament will start at 5pm sharp so lets all try to be there earlier for warm ups etc. Then let the battles commence. It's gonna be mad, all players with no partners, please come too. Don't sit out of this one, it will be good to see you all. So...

Unfortunately I'm a little rusty with Goh through not playing evo in like, ages (its that Uni thing again /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif).
But I have got myself an sc2 stick recently so I can practice fully /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

 

the quiet before the storm....

twas the night before tourni and all through the houses was the clicking of joystick bearings, practice sessions and last minute mini bouts......

was at troc last night for a sec and had chance to see Jun, oda, masamune and geeho flexin on the machine.....(some good fights dudes) will be there tonight for a while before i go and watch texas chainsaw massacre. anyone there tonight? last prac i can get in before tourney,after all :-( still no PS2

Tommorow I'll probly be down for 2-3p.m depending, anyway the tourni dosn't start till 5.

i been sick in bed the last two days so i may look like a zombie tomorrow (great timing eh? try saying in bed a whole 24 hours with a level 3 max FLU with added sore eyes... it aint pretty) /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

anyhow, i'm glad jun was getting in some good practice coz i sure as hell weren't, i'll try my best tomorrow to loosten my gears, it seems like it will be very fun. good luck ya'll. (oh damn it, two bloody Pais)

Very good turn out at the tournment today bare people showed bare skills which was good! and enjoyable to watch /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Except for me cause I played shit /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Big up to Masamune who was the better player from our team.

Unforunately not cause the batteries ran out, I think the guys managed to still tape some good ones though.

Yeah congrats to the winners (Jackie wins again!! Owned the final! /versus/images/graemlins/ooo.gif)
Overall though I think the level of play has leveled up!!! I mean each match was tense and so close! Even Ryan and Dai were having troubles!
Highlights for me was Wolf team specially ,Jun's Wolf, low throws!! /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif, Q-otaku's Akira against Ryan's team what a match!!, the turbo pai team /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif, Random's brothers suprise Kage! Sham beating Ryan at the end and just leaving /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif and my little win streak with my shun after the event (probly only cause everyone was asleep /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Lowlights for me was the match I had against Vosor to get into the semi's, last round destroyed by his flowcharts /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif, lost to a worthy opponent though.
Dat and saurs team doing well at first and then somehow not qualifying /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Suggestions for next time I think that the quarter final stages should be knockouts and not best of series, best of should only kick in at the semi final and final stages, that way the tourni has a faster pace and for recording purposes more room on the tapes/batteries /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Good tourney yesterday better then last time in my opnion (less people). Anyway congrats to Ryan and umm that guy you were playing with by winning the finals. Thanks to the reversal man(gee ho) i was playing with u kicked some butt yesterday, dont think i've seen that many reversals in one match /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif hope to face u sometime soon. And before i forget thanks hatim for the free drinks that was cool /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif


best match:

Jun and bk vs Dai and prince. The double low throws were sick.

Worst point:
The technician guy "sorry the air conditnion is not my deparment" i'm gonna write a nice long e-mail to the troc to find that department. /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif
