Fighting game characters you hate?

VF Leon: The moves are cool, but the voice and catch phrases are annoying as hell. In fact, I wish I could skip all of the ending poses in online matches. Not sure why they make you sit down and watch them...over and over.

 

I would have to disagree with you on that. I like to think of his voice and catch phrases as icing on the troll cake that is lion. I think the Corny catch phrases adds a special charm to the character and it goes great with his poky annoying style. Would you rather the a character be like the characters in tekken and be a halfdemon cliche or blazblue and have 5 noel clones.

 

So friggin' true about Blazblue dude. Hell, its so bad that Nu (or Lambda in CS) and Mu basically have the same sprite and normals. The only difference between them is that Mu has her butt hanging out and her hair looks like a mess.

The worst Blazblue character though is Ragna. He basically has damn near every normal that Sol Badguy has in Guilty Gear and Ragna has one of the worst outfits ever in a fighting game. His costume is over-designed even by anime standards. Its like they took 3 different outfits and combined them to make Ragna. Arakune is a close second for worst design in the series since he's basically a black bed sheet ghost that's wearing a Shy Guy mask from Mario.

 

Gill and Seth (SF III & IV)

Granted, they're not as bad as an SNK boss. They're still bad. On the surface, they're both incredibly bland character designs. Gill's design is only acceptable because capcom was showing off the power of the CPS-3 board, What the hell is Seth's excuse?

Visuals aside, Gill is a religious nut with elemental powers and the ability to completely regenerate himself upon death. In short, HE'S A DICK!

Seth goes the other route. Science over religion and in doing so becomes the Dural of Street Fighter. Fun to play, annoying to fight.

 

SF: Any character with a projectile.
VF: Everyone except Blaze(but Jacky and Akira are hated the most).
MK: Scorpion
SC5: EVERYONE. Even hate the 2 characters I main. Most of the hate stems from Xiba, Nightmare, and Sig, but I hate EVERYONE in that game.
Smash Bros Original+Melee: Captain Falcon(THEE fastest and the strongest in both games)
SSBB: Sonic
MVC: Red Venom
MVC2: Cable
MVC3: Again...another roster where I hate the whole roster even the people I use.
Tekken: The whole Kazuya family.
Injustice: Batman...because he is the Scorpion of that game.
Skullgirls: The final boss in Arcade mode. Can't for the life of me remember her name but any boss that doesnt flinch on hit and can kill you in 3 hits is an ass...

Why are you even here/ Why do you even bother with fighting games if you hate the majority of the characters?

WHERE'S THE LOGIC?!

 

Dude..we play fighting games....there is no f@$%ing logic to fighting games...hence the players can be as illogical as the games we enjoy.

Does getting your legs broken by an Aoi combo then popping back up to finish the match make logical sense to you!?

I thought not.....



Anyways, Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series gets Punk of the Century from me....although, he was kinda cool in Soul Calibur 2....unarmed against sword and pole fighters...pretty cool there.

 

I really only buy fighting games for the characters, that's what draws me to them first. IF I find at least 1 character I like, I will main them, learn them, and buy/like the game. Like I only bought SSF4 cause of Dudley and Cody. Only bought SC5 for creation mode, VF for Blaze(previously for Wolf before VF4), MVC for Spider-man, Injustice for Flash, Deathestroke and Lobo, and MK for Freddy Krueger(previously for Johnny Cage). Normally the games where I don't like anyone, I won't buy it(like DOA). I mean I normally like fighting games a lot but if I can't find any character to become attached too, I hate it cause I can't have fun while playing it. I only need to like 1 character per fighting game to enjoy the game.

I see, I'm the opposite I suppose. I tend to find a reason to love most characters for some reason or another (with the exception of the characters I've talked about in this thread)
I'm not sure that I could enjoy a game if there was only one character I liked, I'd feel a bit conflicted.

 

BTW is it just me or is Akuma the worst murder in the history of man.

Gouken alive, Bison alive,Gen still breathing. Come on Akuma. Kill someone already. I'm tired of having to learn all these matchups.

 

Gouken is alive cause of BS, Bison's body was destroyed but lived, Gen was left alive cause Akuma didn't find it right to kill someone not at full power.

Akuma is not a murderer though. Nor has he ever claimed to be. He's simply the "master of the fist" and always on the lookout for a better fight.

It's just like american comics. You can kill off a hero a million times over and they will ALWAYS come back.

 

WTF are you talking about. His Ultra translate to Instant Hell Death Murder he has a move that = death. Whats the point in learning a death move when you do it the opponent just shrugs it off and goes maybe in the next game cannon wise.

Just because its a fighting game doesn't mean its story has to be bad or not give a shit about it. MK9 story great, Street fighter animation/series story is still pretty good and get this If VF wanted to have a good story all they have to do is just use their animated series(Its like a funny fist of the north star thing).

BTW If your going to lay down the its a fighting game argument then why did you make this thread in the first place beside to waste time.

 

Same thing happens in Anime/Manga...characters come back. Also depends what Universe you're looking at but even with that; not many people die and come back and if they do it's only 1 time. Spider-Man has died 2 times in 2 separate universes and STAYED dead both those times, Damien Wayne from Batman(the 5th Robin) died and stayed dead, Steve Rogers(Captain America) died and Bucky took over for good, Ironman dies of alcohol poisoning and stays dead, the list goes on...While a Akuma does have a move titled FOR murder, he never tries to murder people, just fight the strongest opponents and move on. If anything the Cobra Commander from the 80/90's G.I Joe is the WORST terrorist/murderer. Never killed or conquered a thing.
