The previous Trojan team was excellent -- with Matt Lainart and all those guys running around.

It's interesting to see what the Trojans will be able to do this time around with the cards they've been dealt.

But to manage to escape the upset trend for the week is something pretty amazing in itself...

Yeah, USC's last game wasn't great. They made a lot of mental mistakes. I can't believe Auburn has beaten Florida the last two years.

OU and Texas both got beat. That was shocking.

USC is overrated, they will lose at least one game or two. Florida will lose again to LSU because their defense. One thing Norte Dame sucks, they still haven't won a game yet.

My niners are really doing terrible on offense. What was supposed to be a good offensive line has really done nothing as in terms of protection. I wish we had some sort of special teams to help us. It won't be our offense as a savior this year.

Omg... Usc got owned. Stanford was a 41 point underdog in Southern Cal. It's amazing. Great game for Stanford.

Lsu/florida is close. I want Florida to win. Can you believe.. South Florida will be in the top 5! A few years ago, they were like division 2 style college football. They got a new stadium and money, and they got some great recruits.

edit: lsu just won~ Great game. I think Lsu made a ton of mistakes in the beginning, but than they came back strong. That one white running back you guys have is strong. Great win. They are clearly number one in the nation.

I think Cal will be number 2, and South Florida will be number 3.

John David Booty is full of fail, what an idiot. Defense gives you like how many picks to convert and you pretty much throw interceptions back at them? USC needs to go back to school a bit.

LSU and Florida was a great game. I feel bad for Tim Tebow and Florida though, they are such a good team. I hope they finish well for the rest of the season.

Yeah, when you play in the sec.. it's like every game in the conference is like a bowl game. Everyone is gunning for them.

Lsu and Florida were in the same situation last year. Florida won last year and it propelled them to the national championship game. But this year Lsu did it.

I am very impressed at how Ohio State has come back and is into the national championship contention. They were not supposed to make noise this year. But they are right up there as well as Cal.

You think USC fans want to see Mark Sanchez now? Or will Booty still get the nod to start next week?

Depends, USC needs one hell of a rebound next week to get back on the path to a national title or the rose bowl. I think Booty just needs to stop putting his head in his ass and start playing B&B plays. Also, GIVE THE BALL TO JOHNSON YOU FREAKIN BUMS. I swear, they praise Washington every 5 seconds but it's Johnson who makes all the big running plays. USC has always been a running team, so Booty needs to focus less on fancy plays and more on running the shit out the ball and opening up the lanes, bread and butter plays, christ.

Side note: UCLA vs. Notre Dame was hilarious. Notre Dame won with defense alone, lol funny way to end a painfully long losing streak. Good stuff domers, I was entertained.

Well, the play action pass worked well on that one touchdown drive where they went up 23-7. But where the hell was the defense afterwards? It seems that they said all year long that Usc's defense was the fastest he has Pete Carol has ever had. I don't see that speed anywhere. They are getting burned hardcore.

The game where they played Nebraska, their passing game was gone. So they just went to the power running game. This game, they abandoned both it seems.

Notre Dame... gosh, I wanted UCLA to whip them hard. But they have their own problems.

Wisconsin got knocked out. I couldn't believe they didn't play well.

I don't think USC was ever a good passing team from the start, I think Booty just wanted to show off when they played against WSU. They have traditionally been a good running team. They have the running talent too. Washington, Johnson, McKnight. But they don't use any but Washington much and the freakin Oline has been struggling since the game vs. Washington.

Their defense did great in the first half and broke down in the second, happens when you give so much to your offense and they fail everytime. Needs more work definately more work.

Well, I am sure that USC will need to bounce back hardcore. They still have Cal to play against.

OMG another crazy saturday..... wow college football is so awesome.

    LSU loses to Kentucky
    Cal loses to Oregon State
Mark Sanchez is better than Booty (lol)

I wouldn't say Sanchez is better. He did throw two picks. I think he got some help finally from Joe McKnight. His punt return/running was ala Reggie Bush. The guy they think he will be.

But yes.. that Lsu/Kentucky game was amazing. I was at a sports bar watching the game with friends.

Cal losing gives USC another chance to get back into the race. The only problem is Oklahoma still undefeated.

omg.. Ohio State is number 1 now. Amazing, in the beginning of the season, they didn't have a chance. Now look at where they are. Credit Jim Tressel, he's a good coach.

All I can say is, Indy better not underestimate the Jags on this coming MNF.

And one note on college football...
your number two rated BCS team is the...USF bulls? Who would have guess that at the beginning of the season along with the four other teams first time being ranked in the BCS.

Yeah it is pretty amazing to see USF come a long way. I remember when I grew up and saw the rise of the Miami Hurricanes. I feel that the USF bulls are doing the same thing as the hurricanes did in the 80s. A lot of the media say that USF doesn't deserve it. But they did beat Auburn and Auburn did beat Florida. So who knows. No school makes the schedule, they just have to play the schedule and win.
