Forza4 Wednesday 9 pm Pacific (GMT-8)

I had my first Forza 4 race online with Plague and one of our friends.


It was awesome.

Heh, NASCAR sucks. I can't stand that series. I'm much more of a fan of bike road racing series (SBK, MotoGP, AMA Pro Racing), grand touring car series (FIA GT1 & GT3, Blancpain Endurance, ALMS, World Challenge, etc.), sports car spec series (Porsche Supercup, Ferrari Challenge, Dodge Viper Challenge, etc.) and Rally racing (WRC) guy.

Anyway, I can see the appeal of the Forza series. But I just got tired of encountering the same 'ol formula long after the second one. And I still think in the grand scheme of things Turn 10 is focusing on mostly the wrong stuff when it comes to adding features in each sequel. However, the Forza series continues to sell like hotcakes so hey... more power to them.

Details:

For this week's challenge we will revisit the 2009 Challenger SRT8 race at Road America. Tune your Challenger to B500.

As a chaser, we will follow the set with a series of races around Infineon Raceway (NASCAR Circuit) driving the 1971 Nissan Skyline tuned to C425. I have tried a C class tune from 'keefthekiller' in the Storefront that I think works well, and recommend you give it a try.

If a prefabricated tune doesn't quite work for you, feel free to try your own tune keeping in mind your car's PI (performance index) must be less than or equal to 500 for the Challenger and less than or equal to 425 for the Skyline. Also note that drive train swaps are not allowed for the Challenger (the Skyline tune I recommeded is AWD - did not see that at first).
