Nice thing is the comics are in manga format and readily available at all (most?) book stores. go get 'em!

The game is decent. If not a bit hard.

The movie is great and should be a huge hit. For it to fail like it has in the box office is a disappointment.

However, I think it will become a huge cult hit in the future.

Btw... I wonder why this wasnt made in 3d. It seems like a movie perfect for it.

Same. Was born in 87' actually grew up with an ATARI (i owned that awful game ET the extraterrestrial) till about age 7 or 8 and then got a super nintendo and all that. very much a part of my childhood being a 20 something.

The game was fun, but it was a kick in the balls that it wasn't online enabled. Talk about true gofindyourfriendsandsitthemdownnexttoyoutoplay old school.

Heh, nice twist on a line from the comic [IMG]

Speaking of which I agree with you on the 6th book feeling a bit rushed. It was narrated pretty much in fragments and the finale was just:

ok | so then | and then | THE END

I finally watched the movie last week and was most underwhelmed. I really wish I could have seen the movie without the book because it seemed to have all the elements o what I would typically dig but I just couldn't care. and this is a movie I wanted to see, wanted to do well but wasn't pinning a lot of expectation on.

My wife and I both thought that it was largely mis-cast (according to our bias of having read the comic)but my biggest complaint seemed to be that the direction seemed distant. the comic moments seemed lackluster and were allowed to just *happen* like an afterthought.

meh. I'm really glad people dug it and I really hope it does well on DVD but I was surprised at how much I just didn't care for it.

Just finish this couple days ago, and it's a funny movie to me. But I'm surprised it reaches top 250.

I liked some shots and use of graphics, some other ideas etc. Some good elements but weak as a whole.

I loved this movie. Music, Love and videogames wrapped in a beat em up style movie = win.

Very well made and creative. The most creative movie since Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless mind.
