That's called "San Noh Kai" They are the biggest VF group in Osaka. There are several players who are well known all over in Japan. "Koryu = Tiger Dragon" is well known since VF3 days. (If you have the 1st BTcup tape, the lau player who beat Chibita in Taka stage is him.) When I was there for five months this year, I saw him beating his teammates who are very good as well. They usually play in Avion in Namba or in Pasca in Tennoji. (They may play near Osaka station as well, but I don't usually go to the north to play VF. Tennoji and Namba are good enough.) When they are there, they usually play till the arcade closes at midnight. (more than a couple times a week.) But, be careful. Some of those guys in Osaka are very rough. Sometimes they beat the person in real life who beat them in VF... Things like this happen over fighting games... (It never happened to me since I am kind of big as someone in Japan, I guess.) A guy told me that he had to change his ring name since there was a post saying that someone wanted to beat him... I think things are rougher in Tennoji where I usually play.

    Well, enjoy playing.

    Hiro

I always play at this arcade at Umeda as it costs only 50yen per game, 2squares vs cpu, 3squares vs players. Other arcades cost 100 per games but its 3squares vs cpu. So i hang out at umeda all the time. Yup, my Japanese friend told me its San No Kai in japanese, i think they have alot alot of members. Anyway, today i went to Namba and challenge some 10dans and above players and lost quite abit as they were too good. I dropped to 7dan today with a 56% winning percentage. Anyway, most of the book stores have their green book sold out so i`m ordering some. So guys in Singapore, let me know who wants a copy. I`m going tokyo tomorrow on my own, my Japanese friend not joining me. Scary. Oh yeah, Hiro, my machi Japanese friend did have a few fights before at the arcades. Osaka is a Yakuza infested place according to him.

I also want a copy if possible.. but if it is too heavy I can
probably just borrow from one of you guys. Danny, you went
to Japan alone? just to play VF? you should at least try
to go a bit of sightseeing other than the local arcades /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

You are 8th dan.. that is very good considering you are
there for like a week. Hey can you kind of like look out
for any good Vanessa's moves. Take down some notes or
    something /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Osaka's that rough, eh? Hmm.... wonder how they feel about white-folk.

My first trip there was a disaster. My friend organized a Tinrib tour (a maniac who plays loud music in clubs). Went there, nobody understood me, and the Japanese chic we had didn't understand anybody else. Took ages to find the hotel, went out to the party. Got stupid wasted until 6AM. Back to the hotel, and BARELY got up for 11AM checkout. Of course, they closed the damn bath tub, so we stank of night club on the 3 hour trip back to Tokyo. DOH!

No plans to head back in the future.

Got enough $$$ to purchase everything a not ? I still got a couple of thousand yen laying around the house, should be enough to buy the books and stuff.... /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

Maybe we should start thinking how to send $$$ to Danny so that he won't break his wallet buying all that stuff for us? /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

ok, the Perfect Guide doesn`t seems to be very useful but i can get a copy for u. Hey, guys, i`m coming back tomorrow, u guys want to meet up at Yishun on sunday? Say around 3pm? Anyway, Alan, I did quite alot of sight seeing and eating. Oh my god! Food here is superb! I love Yakiniku esp. I also went to kyoto to visit some of the famous temples. MacDonald`s is also way tastier than Singapore. I kick all Vanessa's asses but they were all 7 dans. I ordered like 10copies of the green book(dvd) and will probably arrive a week later in singapore. Guys, get ready to pay me 30bucks for a copy.

you went kyoto? I liked the town but I cannot really
appreciate all the temples.... I can still remember this
supposedly very FAMOUS rock garden with a few rocks in it..
duh... I just cannot get it... what is so amazing about
    rocks...

Please keep a copy for me if I am not back in Singapore by
then... sigh I really want to go home. US sucks.... /versus/images/icons/smile.gif
