lol I thought everyone is calculating in there head all the time during a match. At least I know I am trying to. I train myself to play like that. It’s not hard. The hard part is being consistent with it.
Fu unji I agree with you, VF is more about controlling your opponent and breaking there style more than anything else but I think what Macfactor is saying is you can't understand what moves you can get away with unless you know your boundaries and your opponents boundaries. I believe it’s called playing the odds. Less risk more reward. Controlling the risk level

have to agree. if i know the frames of a move, i'm calcuting before the move is done, so i don't really lose any time doing it.

I agree with this, and if you can controlling the risk level, that's awesome. I think I can control my Shun pretty well, but I suck at using other characters like sometimes I just wanna make combos or whatever I like to do. So less risk more reward is great word for me and everyone else, I'll keep this word in my mind and have more fun in VF. [IMG]

Well, at least I'm not trying to calculate frame data during the match. more than that, I don't know most of frame data. Some people tried to ask me Shuns frame data, but I couldn't help them at all. All I know about frame data is what moves are punishable, and that's pretty much enough for me. Either VF or Tekken, I rely on my sense and yomi, so even I learned frame data, I know I'm not gonna use them often. I think I should remember English vocabularies if I remember any of frame data. lol

Oh, I forgot to say, GGs to Mista Tee and Mackfactor while ago.

FF13 will come out tomorrow, so I don't think I'll play VF for a while, but if you wanna play me, just msg me. I might play VF for the break from FF13. [IMG]

So that just made him appear smarter than what he really is...See the VF is like Baseball. If you make the right move and it works your a genius...if you made the wrong move your second guessed by your peers. Even if your at a advantage its does'nt play out the same against all characters so you cannot call it anything unless you know the players tendencies. You cannot take fundamentals away from anybody mack. You may eliminate their strengths during a match making them second guess their moves though.

Although that I agree frame data is not usually present in the mind during the fight, mackfactor is well on his way to understanding the game. Over the past year his improvement is amazing. I credit that to his dedication to learning how VF works.

Many thanks to kiuju, quashpdarkman, and social_ruin for many games of vf tonight.

Plague couldn't have said it better. Mackfactor has improved leaps and bounds. I enjoy players like Mack who want to know the why and the psychology behind a strat or move working.

Oh and GG's none other from a few days ago.

Bottom line; if you go to college too learn a trade and have a good internship you'll be better off than someone who just dabbles as a hobby.

Mackfactor really wants to be a factor in this community. I've seen his frame counting dedication before. He'll be a beast just like the ol Hydra' just wait and see. I couldn't do it, but then again I'm a hobbyist. I don't think about VF until I'm playing it.

GG's Social Ruin - Im not gonna say sorry for the kicks after K.O.'s after down. I wanted too get you angry enought to go out on a full on blitz like you do with lei fei. Its saddening to see you slow your game down because of Goh lol you know what i expect.

GG's Turpenoid - Nice Session. Nice Lei fei. To bad i was fallen asleep.Maybe nexttime we can have a marathon.

ggs to Kahn Rahn. i was suprised to see you show up with goh [IMG] you have a good start to him, and it was interesting since u use him very differently from me.

ggs to plague. AAAAAAARRRGGGHHH. i'm learing to hate that damn low dashing jab. You seem to be relying on it more than u used too. It wouldn't be so bad if akira didn't have such good mids, lol. Oh well, i'm sure it isn't hard to defend against. It was my own fault, since i let u kill me from it even when i blocked it. Hope to play again soon.

ggs to SDS. hope u accept my friend invite. And there is no way i'm playing goh with the lei fei rushdown. he just doesn't have the tools to pull that off. I have to focus much more on spacing, and defense, and ducking high's to create whiffs and punishing. I just felt like in close i was overmatched. You work kicks in VERY nicely with ur close range punching options. I tried to stomp u back after i won, but idk. It's just too much effort to press 3p after every round win. That's why i always just stand there after i win, lol. BTW, i only left cause plague and i had been trying to get a game going for about an hour, so when he got free, i wanted to finally get to it.

ggs smb. man, i hate being on the other side of the monk, lol

My live expires soon so I've tried to get as many games as possible; gg's in the last few days to:

Rikojjang: I remember WCG time I could never ever beat you, but now I can actually take a few matches. [IMG] Your akira was very impressive though, SPoD hit the wall Knee like a hundred times it was quite the treat to watch. Also your kage is really strong, I'm glad our connection was good, and your wolf was fun times [IMG] Thank you for staying as long as you did.

ZymDragon: Your pai is pretty decent, one of the problems you had is what I suffer from occasionally, when you tech roll you stay crouched too long or you stay standing guard too long, you know there's something wrong when I get multiple low throws in one match at times. [IMG] A lot of people quit once they start losing some, but I was impressed when you stayed put to get your wins. I look forward to playing with you again.

TWP: Those were some whacky games son, that 1 hour-ish of pure fun was relaxing, and I got to use some characters that I rarely use online besides just the good ol' Jeffry. I'm suprised your 360 ran as long as it did before it shut down, unfortunately I heard you got the nasty e74, I hope everything goes well smoothly.

Settra: We only played one match because I didn't see your signature, but I really liked that one match so I saved it, I will be uploading it if you don't mind, and I wish our bars were higher I really want to play you, your akira is good!

Ogikage: I saw you on in Itazan's list and I was like WTF I want some! Unfortunately he was already in a game with this goh player so I sent him a invite. 20 minutes later he finally came, but it was really worth the wait. At first I was worried about the zero bar connnection but it got better as time progressed so it was actually smooth. Ogikage and I played for 3 hours! It was the best VF session I have ever had in months easily! I really really wanted to impress him so I had to take my throw escapes to the next level lol, unfortunately it wasn't enough all the time because he mixes his throws up very well. His Kage was very solid, but more importantly really fun and I learned a lot from working my ass off against him. We actually traded streaks so it was close to even, I'd say he won 55/45% Well everyone knows Ogikage as an uploader but this time I'm the one that's going to be uploading, I've got some of his matches. [IMG]

Thanks everyone for the games, invite me if you see me on, because I won't be on for much longer. [IMG]

Yeah i accepted it Bro.. I know you cant rushdown with Goh i just wanted to bait you and make you lose caution lol! I was so sleepy man i was dozing off on load ups. Sometimes you never know when to just cut the game off and say no to the addiction.

Yah man, sometimes I just like to let the freak flag fly. Some of my most entertaining matches are a mix of serious play and just foolery. No problem. It seems like a bunch of peoples Live subscriptions are coming up. Hmmm, maybe I'll make a prize for the next shakedown a new subscription? We shall see. Oh and on that note: e74 means no shakedown for
me. I'm going to try and sponge some xbox time off of mys boys and see what's up. If you see a random friend invite from I YuckMouth I I think it is, that's me :p

VFNumbers or KO? Maybe someone can step up and get it started if I can't. So far we haven't missed a shake yet, I'd hate for it to start now.

damn guys, a month is like $7. I'm sure you can scrounge up $7 dollars. Mow a lawn. Paint house numbers on the curb. Pleasure random women. It's just $7. Make it happen. You get no sympathy if u can't manage $7.

ggs to boris. Your akira was decent in the mid game. I.e. main thing holding ya back was just combos, but that takes time to get down. Gotta get ur reps in in the dojo. Then in quest. Then it's like starting all over online. At least for me.

ggs brother. I have to spend the entire match on the edge of my seat, trying to anticipate what u will do next, and make it a point to not do anything stupid myself (attack into sabaki). Shit, i can't imagine playing vs lei without knowing all his moves. that would be brutal.

I buy yearly cards not month to month, it's ok though I'm only going to be a few weeks delayed until I gather enough dough to pay up.

    ggs to you brother.

All the sparring is good for the soul. I should probably get out there and find some other good connects to play with some consistency. I'm sure any progression i'm making is stunted by only having one competitive outlet.

but then, they tell me the dojo is free, and yet i haven't stepped foot inside there in ages.
