I never knew you could play quest on 2p side, I knew about dojo. That's really useful information.

I can't tell if I was playing worse or if all of you were playing better because of rank matches. I think it's the latter. It's like I've always suggested - rank makes you play better, at least is should.

Thanks everyone for giving me a beatdown last night! I need that sometimes!! =)

 

Ranked matches are making a come back!
You're right JHow, with rank and/or record on the line, I try to not play around.
GGs to you and everybody on your list. I'd like to add:

I sent out a text and put down everybody I saw player matches to join us in ranked and most of you did. Thanks fellas!

juicymomo, glad you finally stuck around to play a couple. seems like you've always retreated after one match. despite the graybar connection, its one of the more fluid ones i've gotten with anyone outside of canada.

dr. famila, good games sir. i hate that brad, but in the same way i hate a tough workout in the gym. Thanks for the advice, i really need to retool my game from the ground up, put some time into the dojo and quest [yeah yeah, on 2p side. but i hate practicing, and prefer to try and work on my game with live ammo, but isn't treating me too well]. Part of the problem is akira, ahahhaa, i'm inclined just to practice his combo's on the rare occassions i do practice. such as in our matches i flubbed 33p, p, 43p, 46p combo. evertime i missed the dblpalm, you'd stand and blcok it, back elbow me for my trouble. thats a nice hyooge damage swing right there.

but despite all the ails that are plaguing my game right now, none of that is meant to serve as an excuse. you simply play it at a higher level than i do nowadays. i'm busy trying to mix colors while you are halfway done painting a masterpeice. I've said it before and i'll say it again. You are one of the people who have improved the most at the game over the last 2 years, which is pretty damn impressive given your skill level to begin with. Damn that yomi (granted, i'm fairly predictable, especially given i pick a move to work on everytime i play. this time i'm going to practice landing this move, or that move) but i swear you have a better idea of what i'm going to do next than i do. I freeze up, panic, and fallback on whatever bad decision first pops into my head. meanwhile you already know exactly what bad decision i'm going to make and punish it.

It has been great to see people playing rank again. that was the best 2hrs i spent playing VF in a long time. i never had to wait long to play against someone and there were about 4-7 on rank. Man i can tell the difference in game play. it good to see people caring about winning and losing. i will be on this weekend for some rank. so hit me up for some games

plague. we need to do it again and soon. i learned a couple new tricks (particularly in regards to teh shoulder), was reminded of a couple old tricks, and was otherwise reinforced a lot of stuff i knew i should be doing, but seeing someone else do it, and hearing it from someone else still helps greatly.

tfam. sorry so short. lots of times i'm turning VF5 on just to pass time until dinner time, b/c i'm hungry and want to take my mind off of food till its time to eat. (thats what i get for eating on a schedule )

Want to throw out an apology to Sanjou Akira, i solicited games with you twice, and failed to get them going on both times. luckily, by the sounds of the message you sent me, you weren't dying to play anyways. But now that we are "friends" we'll make it happen sooner than later.

edit: ggs to silent neplim. i don't like playing you b/c you are all offense, nonstop, no breaks, no apologies. I want to hold this against you, buuuuuuuuuuuuut thats the exact definition and same mindset i used to murder folks with lei fei using. So as much as i don't enjoy getting steam-rolled, i respect what you do and how you are doing it. HA, you play vane just like i used to play lei fei (except obviously with vanes movesets and tricks instead of the monks.) so from that perspective, I LOVE IT. and its frustrating.

He's really the laid-back, soft, silent type.

 

I agree I heard him a few times when I was sparing with seiju late at night and he joined our party. he is actually very cool to speak with why he uses all caps to say anything here is beyond me to understand sometimes.

 

Nah it reminds me of his play style. Straight up in-your-face emphatic swagger. Dude has a Jeff like none on this planet. In fact I probably wouldn't know how to fight against Jeffry if he hadn't made me look @ his frame data . I cheat lol

my router exploded after playing intense Call of duty matches with BORIS. I think my connection is better i duno, i gotta test it out, tech installed a new modem.

SMB: we always want to play at different times, good we finally get some games in. i know u dont have a mic, but just chill in the party. I usually play more often with guys in the party... I finally got a chance to get around ppl that wanted to play that i havent played, sorry for delay. and i dont play much either, im mostly slacking in party chat.. testing shit out.

Melsted: 3 bars with u too. if u wanna play ill be down to play, nothing more i like than 3 bar connection.

Sometimes i just wanna chill and relax and talk in the party. I play about 2 ppl a day lately, and lately the only two ive been playing is DENNIS and WEI_AND. Any invites before 1 AM, i basically will not play, but im trying to get in as many guys as possible the ppl i havent played
