ggs to Chemmixofdeath and Vanilla tears it is my first time seeing them after hearing their names mentioned here many times and I can see why. They are really good and my crappy Van did way better than I though she would especially against chemmixofdeath and his shun. Shuns always seem to give me issues when I deal with them.

I also met up with a couple new guys on VFDC as well and I am pleased at how good they are QBsince1933 and the other guy escapes me at the moment but ggs to him as well.

GG's shadoolord1979. Though I don't think anyone mentions me here. I haven't played VF in a couple of years LOL! And your Vanessa is better than you think.

    Who is quadrophenia4?

    Best Lei Fei

Or maybe I was burnt out, still doesn't matter. His Lei Fei was powerful as heck. Then, I looked at his profile and it was a bunch of Japanese characters, but I saw Jhow and Myke on his list.

    Yo guys, who is it?

he's from japan, i played him before. I remember him when i started playing, he too seem to have improved quite a bit.

he has a good lei fei. good lei's are rare to find
but the best lei's i played in asia are
SAMELUCKRAIDER and RIKO imo and few others, i got some on my friends list that play a good lei in japan as well.

you should try CFwhite's lei fei.

Quad's Lei is great and always fun to play. Another Japanese Lei player I always have fun playing with is IKAREBOSE73. Aside from Riko, I haven't encountered the other Leis mentioned by Mack.

BTW Slide, since you're now on the west coast, we should try getting some games in! At best our connection will 1 bar though, but it'll be fun to try it out (as soon as I get my xbox back from repair).

Just played his lei again today for 40 minutes.

    GG quadrophenia4:
had alot of intense matches with his lei fei, alot of good mixups. What to do with lei fei... I cant peck out of strings as well as other characters.. its pretty much all or nothing with lei's. I guess i can evade to his stomach and punish with a quick KNOCK down like Single palm, pk. but its pretty much all or nuthing in some of the strings if hes baiting for a failed evade. i implemented, ETEG into CROUCH dash sidestep cancel Guard alot in my game into whatver move i think can beat their recovery, 2p, p, single palm, k etc. but crouch dash Sidestep cancel G into 2p, will get beat if hes in a middle of a string. Maybe i should not do the eteg and go right to Single palm since his setups are all or nothing if i want more damage. MID Distance, i can fight well. As long as i guess i can keep lei away from PP strings with k, maybe the occasional 46 K to get stomach crumples in his stance, 1K+G more.. 66k is easily evaded by good players mid distance. perhaps maybe next i should try start buffering shrms more during his block 6k, good thing in FS input is 33 P+K or sumthing. all or nuthing.. maybe i can OM or do more K's on side to do max damage, if i knew where i can get side stag from which setups he's doing.
ok done rambling and talking to myself. his lei is good. i need to fight lei's better that can fight up close with me.

Just played Rare Entity's El Blaze and it was a pleasure. Great spacing, timing, yomi, combos, the works. It had been a while man, too long. Ggs!

It's a coincidence that you ask this now because I was just talking about him with Air Jacky. It's true his Lei is good, but he is an extremely paternistic player. Once you've taken enough beatings it can be very easy to exploit his style. I question whether he truly is Japanese or just living in Japan.

An interesting thing about my matches with him - I began playing him over a year ago but unless I won the first match he wouldn't play again. I would gather that this was slightly due to lag (which there isn't much and doesn't affect my game against him) and maybe the fact that if he beat me down he didn't think I was even worthy of playing again. BUT... like I said above, over time I have learned his antics and man if you beat him a few in a row right away he'll keep playing!

We had a great session the other day and probably played about 25 to 30 matches. It was pretty even throughout. Then a couple days later I played him again, won the first four in a row, and then he backed up and hopped out of the ring. ???

The biggest reason I like playing him is to gain a good knowledge of getting through Lei's frame advantage situations. He is really good at Lei's flowcharts. He is also very easily exploited because of this. One thing that surprises me is the ability to draw out a rising kick from him almost 100% of the time.

There is no doubt he knows his character and he is fun to play.

I played him a few times but I guess my style of play may just not suite him. Then again I spent most of my VF5 life playing against Lei Feis....albeit relatively average Lei Feis. (Not knocking anyone, I got raped later on in the game.)

Btw, whens NyC hitting Game over?!?! (I know wrong thread)

I think he's from Japan.. He is alright with all due respect. He does'nt give any real problems other than lag. Like the typical Lei players all flowcharts and patterns. When he takes a hit be backs off.

Oh for sure man, we must play!

My connect over to Japan vs 1 bars is surprisingly playable, I've even had 2 bars. So it should be decent down under. When you get your box back, holla.

    ----

    To everyone:

Thing about quadrophenia4 is that it's Lei Fei. The way he was stringing some set ups together was beating my layers, that's why I was saying he is strong.

I beat his body, the first few matches like wassup, I was about to leave, but he got a win in there, and then all of a sudden I just couldn't handle the Lei Fei offensive anymore. Maybe after my wins I respected his gangster and I just turned my game off, I tend to do that, but I got to give credit where it's due to whomever I play.

I'm still figuring out that matchup with Jacky though. If by the mixed rating I'm getting from everyone here, maybe Lei Fei really does just balloon or disguise a players strength. Lei Fei must just have built in moves that snuff complex choices at times.

If your using jacky then you will have problems with him when you don't know your strengths against him. Then again people still can't seem to grasp the idea that using jacky requires having the basics down to a science to square off against the trick character like Lei. I use to have many problems with Lei Fei. It took a while to learn how to match up with him but every Lei player i played against plays different so it was a hard challenge. Now whats fun is watching how these same players use Lei WHEN NOTHING WORKS lol. It feels so good breaking him down.

Offensively it's not really a problem, when I get trapped defensively vs Lei Fei is when the problem arises. When the conventional defensive choices aren't working out, you got to start attacking, and that's when I get hit with some of the oddity moves. Especially on wakeup.

    GG'S

AssassinCP: Good goh matches. Goh vs goh... sit back and wait for someone to make a mistake, or poke first... lol. 66k barely works vs us... i'll hit u up tonight if ur on. ETE is very strong vs Single striking character, stringy ones, i like to do a whole ETEG into a crouch fuzzy G.. but ak,goh,wo i just let it go <SOMETIMES> "after" seeing the recovery of the move i evaded. Maybe ill try ete more vs goh. and ill try be more patient and boring for u next : P . ur goh has 33p magic.

GG's VANILLA TEARS: nice jacky. nice to know there are canadian VFers.

Just got a 50 inch plasma for my 4th yr anniversary gift. VF is looking so much better now, it makes me wanna play more

^Congrats on the 50inch plasma Mack and happy 4th year anniversary [IMG]

I finally got a chance to play last night and then I got a very important overseas phone call so, damn, I don't want to stop playing, but I don't wanna hang up and tell her to call me later due to time difference... sooo I half-assed both =/

Can't say GG's to anybody I played while on the phone since I played like crap, lol but just when I got off the phone and I thought that I was going to have to wrap it up and leave, tan-tada-taaan! Here comes Rodney to save the night!

GG's Konjou, I know lag doesn't really allow your game to truly shine but you still outshine 95% of players online with your yomi and hitchecking. Let's do it again soon man, I really need the online practice. Too much offline has messed with my online antics XD

sorry for my shitty performance yesterday, u got a killer Vanessa, the best ive seen in NA. I tried to apply conditioning, as in poke fest during the first few matches until goh sees what ur up to... then play a lil moral after that. but, that backfired, and i will never try to out poke a vanessa like that again. MId distance, i dont really want to fighter either. close up, didnt go well either. its prob maybe best to wait out vanessa.. maybe, i duno.

GG'S wei/lostcloud/babao thnks for playing my lei fei. im trying to figure how to fight this guy, for the 3rd time now... I dont think, ill ever do good vs a higher level lei at this pace
    ) :

GG'S mista Tee for long session its been a long time. ( : btw do u know what they are doing with the sidestep system in the tekken tag. if they made it more black and white with TAG instead of hitbox stuff, i wouldnt mind trying it out again.
