The more I play, the more I'm glad I'm part of the VFDC. I don't give a crap what the naysayers say. You guys rule. Don't ever change.

 

GGs Dennis! My brain was almost gone but believe it or not, I learned a lot. I was being hardheaded about what you were saying because I didn't fully understand it. You are like Konjou in a way, he gives me great advice but I can't fully understand it right away. The years of experience that you guys have combined with an advanced approach to the game makes it hard for me to fully grasp the depth of your advice until later.
The only thing I knew for sure was that if I have to do something different to win I will do it. Nothing cheezy and lame like DMP+K spam (unless they do it first ) but actually watching you and genuinely adapting. I had to set my autopilot switch to off for that.
My style of play is 50/50. That's how I approach the game and that's why you see how hard it is to condition me. It's not that I can't be conditioned it's that my style is 50/50 so if you can outguess me, I'm dead.
That's why, after our games, I had to think long and hard about what you were doing during our matches. It didn't hit me until today when I went into Dojo mode.

Ima get a hold of this defense thing eventually lol. You do some good mixing and delays man, and some good combos. Don't know what i'm getting hit with but I know it's a lot before I hit the ground. Good Brad player, you be doin some fly shit. Like I said though, ima hook you up lol

GGs to sal for being an invaluable addition to our BC2 team. Of course, he was AFK, doing circles in our base, most of the time.

 

mr shrm ur info on High-Jump Canceling Made Easy was helpful, didnt realize u had to press direction with Command input. U still playing BBCS Leonard? as much as i want to get into it, the part that bothers me is the combos online, becus some of the combos seem to be time dependant on HITBOX/distance.

GG'S wei_and; El blaze vs Jeffrey ur low punching has made u a much much stronger player u seem to really getting the hang of when to do it. of all the characters i played, AOI and BLAZE seem harder to win with, prob cus i dont know them well.. the way u play with 2p is so much more fun now!!

I think I'm bothered by the same stuff in BBCS than you are. The combos are extremely tiresome to learn and my main character, Tsubaki, of lowest tier, does little to no damage. BBCS2 seems to cater more for her, as her Charge move boosts much more while being hardly punishable.

Anyway, I would love to get some VF matches in if we are both online.

GGs to Kingofvf4. I'm pretty sure you won at least 100 times against me and i collected only 3 victory XD

 

Mackfactor, I assume you were using Goh at the moment? And i assume the vanessa player wass playing exclusively from DS? If so my usual suggestions to goh players are :

i) Use more shoulder ram at close range. It will beat both her sabakis and her high attacks. At -9 it's punishable by vane's df+p but will only net 10 damage and +3 for vanessa. Besides very few people bother punishing with df+p. Risk-reward is in Goh's favour.
ii) Use more df+k+g hit at medium range. It will net you 60+ damage and will beat her damaging sabakis. In the odd change it gets blocked, as long as you enter low throw escapes, at -16 DS vanessa can only punish with sidekick or p+k,p so goh wins on the risk-reward department. But it won't get blocked because midrange is usually where DS vanessa plyer spam their sabakis or try to backwalk. And goh's df+k+g has decent range (compared to, say, his db+k).
iii) Use more df,df+p at long range. No, scratch that. SPAM df,df+p. It has the range to reach her after a blocked f,f+k or df+k+g. And at -12, as long as you enter throw escapes DS vane is left with p,p as punishment. 20 damage and negative frames vs. whatever the combos from kirin do nowadays. Risk-reward ratio heavily in Goh's favour.

Also worth mentioning is that Goh's forward roll is a fast way to close the distance and can go under DS vansssa's long range attacks.

PS: on a more general note, it makes sense to favour unsafe attacks against DS vanessa since she her floaters are 17 frames fast. -16 nets her p+k,p which is decent damage and +2; -15 and less on the other hand she really can't do anything about it except chip damage or go for a throw.

Bet. I don't ask cause I see you be on some MvC and I don't want to pull you away from there. At the same time, I know no one wants to sit in the VF5 lobby for 20 minutes waiting for someone to join. So one plays another game till get invited for VF.

It's not till I get solid confirmation (like you just gave me)that I know it's all good to invite X person that's playing another game till I start doing that. Now that I know, it's on, hahah

btw 3K+G has to be CH. ur post made me realize she cant punish hard. ya that vanessa, all i had to do was remove 2p, 3p, p. and just do kness, 3K, and just listen to take that. When u play an unorthadox vanessa, the choices they pick is a lil wierd from what u expect.
