Good Games Thread

It wouldn't be difficult to just open the stick and swap a few of the working buttons not used by VF with the broken ones as a temporary fix. But an even easier temporary fix would be just to change the button configuration so the broken buttons aren't used. If you can get used to a different button layout that is.

 

Thanks, SDS Overfiend. You have a slick Jacky displaying a similar style to Sundevillive in some ways but also very different in other ways. Anyway, there are some things I have to iron out on the defensive end so I can play at a pace I am comfortable with. Plus I'm still working on getting by timing back as far as chaining certain moves together without experiencing hitches in my movement.

I also want to shout out to DrFamilia, Stl Tm, Shun Is Drunk, FearlessWretch7, SilentNephilim, BatisLotus, IVI VULCAN IVI, AllStar804 and Player2501Re for the good games over the past few weekends.

thanks for the compliment.. Just remember everything comes with experience. As you go along playing different styles you will eventually find what works for you. you have to take your loses as lessons. You'll be alright though.

GG's to STL TM at first I didn't think Lion was a good fit for you, but I really like what you are doing with him. Question... how do you step like that? How you managed to carry over VF4 style stepping is beyond me. Seems impossible on my end or maybe my hands just aren't what they used to be.

GG's to Jin nice Vanessa bro and you are not doing anything wrong I just have a lot of Van experience. I think you should ask Slide or Mista Tee for some tips. I'm not sure if you are Off / Def player, but if you OFF then ask Mista Tee if you are DEF then ask Slide.

i almost forgot how strong your yomi game was...FML. what's fucking amazing is that you can play lei fei without shenanigans! LOLOL

needless to say, VF is like riding a bicycle, but i think these days i'm trying to learn how to ride a motorcycle. win or lose, i'm trying a different approach with wolf by integrating moves that you usually don't see from me, and trying to get rid of old habits and HOPEFULLY not creating new ones. need to really push on improving my yomi as well.

STL TM - (yes Rodney I agree) STL TM's Lion is very fun to play! I always love playing a good Lion because of all the experience I've had playing Sam (ETPharaoh). STL sorry we didn't play longer. I wasn't ignoring your messages but have such limited time when I play that I wanted to play as many people as I could. One main reason however that I quit after 5 matches is because I would rather play one of your main characters (Sarah or Lion I would guess) instead of your Brad. Good games nonetheless!

Vulcan - Man you have improved a LOT! Congrats!! I think VFDC has another Shunanigan player in the midst. Now I would love to see you come up with some scenarios that I haven't found yet!! =D I noticed you used my 43P+G throw, hook punch, then 46P. I haven't seen another Shun do that yet. I was also waiting for you to do 43P+G throw, hook punch, then 44K. That was my newest discovery with 43P+G.

Air Jacky - Tons of classic VF mind bending fun. I can't believe how many times you threw me last night. It still feels like classic arcade matches in the VF2 & VF3 days when we play! Love it!!!

 

GG's to Kingo - SMH still no answer to his madness..... I need to use a gun vs Aoi.. Yeah a gun.

Kingo's style is very hard to play against with only 1 green bar. At least that is the connection I have with him. And at least that is the way I feel playing against him.

One thing that I've noticed against him is that there is very often a barrage of jabs, and it is abare only because due to the lag there is no way of him anticipating to jab his way out of certain situations. Kingo... are you really mashing the jab button while you're getting attacked??

 

gg. sometimes I play too wild for my own good, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy every minute of it, I like being all over the map.

I think so Jhow and thats what gets me. I know its The lag affecting me so i can't punish accordingly but still there is no excuses. I can go on and on why he lights me up to no avail.. I always start strong then i just phase out. Its all good though. Feck might be right though.
