I see, and that explains why I feel comfortable with heavy characters stepping. Now I recall when I play light weight, they seem to be slower once I enter 8(2) after standing dash(44/66). I assume that their dash range is wider than heavy ones, so their recovery time should be longer too.

GGs to haze. damn this guy got good! games were back to back but there were a few times he streaked me 4. he once streaked me 6, but i was on the phone with my GF LOL (not taking anything from him though) i'm having a difficult time playing his uber abare kage for some reason. gonna find him again soon. and i cannot block 66PKG to save my life eventhough i know it's coming LOL! when i DO block it, i get free SS for good damage, but he has no fear in using it, which i think is the reason why i get hit by it too much...thinkin he'd stop LOL. FML REMATCH!!!!

Sorry I can only give you 1 cent... I too used to have a very hard time with this guy mainly because like you I ASSUME that after punishing him for the constant DMPK and 66pkg spamming that he would stop, but he never does. No fear? I don't think so... I think it's something else, but who am I to make assumptions on what he does.

A lot of my losses against him though is mainly because our connection is just not good. Not to make excuses, but it's the truth. The guy has to be running DSL or worse... or maybe it's a shared connection with other users at his place because our connection is always bad. Often when I play him I never feel out classed or outplayed, but more worried about the fact that we are lagging or that random lag spikes always see to occur when it's my turn to attack. When he is attacking it's always smooth as silk, but I'm so distracted by his spamming and lag I can't focus on winning. It sucks because I really enjoy playing him though and he sends me invites all the time, but lately our matches have become even more unplayable so I often leave after 1 game win or lose. It's hard to believe he is located in the USA with such a poor connection.

The guy obviously understands VF fairly well, but without DMPK he is nothing imo so if you control that you control him. As for 66pkg you know 90% of the time it's coming as a round end so you just have to always be ready for it, but with the lag it's really hard to crouch in time sometimes. Also if you are playing on half wall stages... STAY AWAY FROM THE WALL. Fight in the middle as much as possible or else he will ring you out with 66pkg. I have played him so much in the past that even with the lag I can usually churn out a few wins in a row because he just cycles through the same 4-5 patterns and if you break his pattern with any type of hit he usually will DMPK so just wait for it and try not to get thrown while you are waiting.

The guy is smart to a certain degree but playing with him over the past year makes me wish FS did come just to see how well as a player he would really do since DMPK is gone.

LOL OMFG he is the ultimate DMPK spammer. 100% he does it after getting poked or AFTER he pokes you. LOL!

OH AND YES i got 66pkg'd out the ring so many effing times in akira's stage, its not even funny. so frustrating when you've got full health and he's got 1pt left too. LOL!

If we do have FS, this situation could be clear since DMPK no longer exist. Lag cause crush when throw against DMPK, and this is the only thing I dislike DMPK online. Otherwise, I don't see anything bad on this move.

 

Jeff, I'll be back to state on Sep. But not specific date confirmed. I really enjoy the food here, but the weather is killing me without air conditioner!!

 

GGs to the folks I've played recently. Not been on in a wee while and kinda felt like I was playing in porridge. Only used Blaze, been afraid to use anyone else who might require some dexterity.

I'll hopefully be on again tonight or tomorrow night if I can. If anyone is about I'd like to get a few rounds in. Once I'm a bit more warmed up I'll work in some other characters but at the moment I'll be playing blaze and relying on either flashy bullshit or 0 frame throws.

 

He's Trash.. Got tired of his Gimmicks when i seen its wash, rinse, repeat. He sent me a invite yesterday. When the match start he still doing the same shit no matter how heavy he get punished for it. Then the DMPK starts SMH!!! fuck this Dude seriously... "I got no time this!!" "You expect to beat me with THAT?!"

 

What I think is interesting about Haze is that he either keeps a list of players on a notepad or definitely visits this site. Correct me if I'm wrong but he's not a member here, is he?

The reason I say this is because it's interesting how us VFDCers get invites from him when some of us are not on his friend's list. I know I'm not, but I've received a couple invites over the last six months.

What's his full gamertag anyway?

 

it's Haze785 and I'd bet anything he is a very low key member here. I remember KingOfCarnage saying he went by an old gamertag called JonsUp or Jons UP. I remember that gamertag from when VF5 was first released, but I can't say if it's the same person.

 

I think he's on the VFDC Friends tag.

nvm: checked it and he isn't? he can see people's public friends lists though, so same diff i guess?

Between the lag, the running away, the dmpk, and the 66pkg... I don't see much reason to play the guy. I play VF because it is the best designed and most balanced fighting game. But when playing haze, one plays a very stupid game. If the game was always like that, I would have had no reason to play the game for 14 years now. Sure it's partly lag, but it is also game design (SEGA themselves has really ended the debate re: DMPK by taking it out of the game!), and also haze's mentality because after all, Haze is also playing a very stupid game.

Plague wrote that the VF system is largely about taking turns and I agree with this. Haze relies on exploiting the system and the circumstances (Online lag) to really subvert the logic of the game and the result is that both players go from playing a great game to a stupid game.

 

ggs to blossy fun as always. and thats about it lol i havent bn on for a while. i,ve played that haze he beats my ass mostly he uses kage i belive? is the DMPK the forwardx2 pkg? if so i know what you mean he uses it a lot and the one where he trips u up, ive sent a freind request but he deleted it i guess and he never repleys to messages when i say gg. also i forgot, ggs to scooby doo funny games i love mirrow matchs good fun.

 

About Haze... You know, even though he is a DMPK abuser, he did at least own up to it when I messaged him. I'm not sure if I should respect him more because he knows exactly what he's doing, or less. At any rate, I try never to be too quick to criticize someone for doing something that works. But I do think he is going to have to reinvent his game from scratch if FS for consoles ever comes out.

 

Nah DMPK is Defensive Move (2 or 8)>P+K, every char has one.
