Good Games Thread

GGs to Blossy. Nice Sarah man. I have a friend who always complains about the matchup sarah vs Wolf. HE always says "Sarah can't do the same damage as Wolf". Finally you proved me he was wrong (of course he was) and i have something to show him next time.
Thanks a lot for punishing me when i was too much low, It's a bad habit i have.

 

Yes, GGs Mister. Fun games man, and yeah Wolf can be scary! I've been playing a lot against him lately for some reason, I like that though.

GGs to the folk I've played recently. Specifically Blossy as I feel I've played against you more than anyone else lately. Really helped me get used to the Sarah matchup so I really appreciate it.

Sorry to the folk I played, like, 2 nights ago. I felt totally burned out on VF that night and was playing like a prick. However if you're one of the few people I nearly beat by pretty much using nothing but Wolf's Deadly Move: Shame on you.

I should be on Monday afternoon for a bit if anyone is going to be about. I'd love to get some games in.

 

gg's to the few people I was lucky enough to play against. And sorry if I left after a few matches. It's just that now it's very rare for me to get a chance to use the modem to play VF and I don't wanna waste the little time I have with cats sand baggin. When I had the modem 24/8, I didn't care how much effort one didn't put into the match and was just happy to play someone with a good connection. But now I want to make the most of it when I get a chance to play.

I'm working on getting a second connection so I won't have to be wireless 90% of the time and be able to play VF anytime i'm on.

 

GGs to Tony and Rodney this past week. I'm glad I was able to keep up with your pai Konjou. You had more mental toughness though as I just couldn't keep up at the end of the set. Tony, your brad is forcing me to actually go into the dojo with brad and find out what I can do guaranteed on you against some of those set ups you're putting me into. You have me afraid to attack even when I'm at advantage.

GG Denaki tonight. I think against Jacky I have to really change up my style of play and go for a lot more damage rather than try to win the poking battle. Jacky just seems to be too well equipped to deal with that battle. I just have to go for the combo set ups.

You have those scary throws though. I can poke Wolf all day long and win that. It just doesn't seem to work so well against jacky. It's a match up thing.

 

it's not about the poking that's killin ya. it's the difference in skill level. you can't complain about these things until you've proven that you're on the same level as denkai.

but i dunno the matchup, so i might just be talkin out of my ass LOL my bad

 

No, Denkai is for sure above me in skill, but this observation transcends his overall skill. Anybody he'd use would rip me to shreds, except maybe for eileen. That's a BIG maybe. Because of his ability I've been able to see something in the match up that's been causing me trouble.

Jacky players in general have given me trouble, regardless of their skill levels. It's just that last night when being outmatched so badly I was able to finally see why I have a hard time with him. I have similar issues against Jeffery too, but for different reasons. I'll have to play a decent Jacky again and see if my new found insight with this match-up will yield results.

Playing against people who are really good with their characters really helps me see how I have to approach playing against the match ups.

BTW we need to fight again Flash. I need to see more of that good wolf you have.

You are sneaky like a minx, I got some stuff for you next time we play haha, I hope it'll work, or at least show me more about the brad matchup. You're one of the only good Brad's I face now a days.

It pleases me to know my play style does my avatar name justice .

 

GGs to Settra and Marly last night.

Settra, I liked your Akira a lot. You're decent at the inputs unlike me and your Akira makes use of some nice stuff, eating so many delayed yoho's was fun forgot how useful it can be to delay the big moves like that. You should try and incorporate that stair stepping and kick cancelling stuff you do post KO into your actual game, that will make your opponent hesitate like crazy.

Marly, you seemed upset about the lag? Was it bad for you throughout all the games because it only got poor for me in those last two matches? Pretty much unplayable with how bad those lag spikes were.

I noticed some nasty spikes in my games with Settra too, hopefully my service provider was to blame so we should try again soon.

 

GGs back to you Feck, I really enjoyed the extremely different playstyles we have with Akira. 6PKG/2PKG keept me under big pressure the whole game and you really use it a lot. I became a bit predictable at some points(after 1PG for example),but I almost forgot what a usefull tool it can be. Hopefully it won´t take a year again to catch you online.
