Wow, Kiwe....you're right. Better by far to go to a site and read what others think than have a thought of my own.

Apparently as that is what you're doing here. Or is this your personal blog of reflection? You're asking rethorical questions?

No need to get fucking sarcastic GE cause I tell that there are actual forums which answer better if people want more info or are curious about things. If you want to keep asking questions, updating, and hoping one of the two others involved in the discussion gives their PoV within weeks cause you can't be bothered to go use your online connection to anything else than two forums that's fine. But don't go on some 'highroad' claiming that people here have a better understanding of the show or better "substance" of the discussion here then on the offical forum , that I can't form thoughts of my own and other bs please.

I want to underline that in no way am I saying people shouldn't discuss Heroes etc here, just replying to GE's "have a thought of my own" + "provided is any indication of the substance" statements which made me tilt cause it was silly at the best and definatly not something I expected from him of all people.

Linkage time now for those that care:

http://boards.nbc.com/nbc/index.php?showforum=70 <--- Official board, there are others but this is indexed nicely.

http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/ <---- The grapic novels are considered Canon and as such you can pick up more information this way. They are neatly done as well \p/ There are a lot of speculations around Isaacs first vision and if this will make it to the show as it's clearly not happened yet. That creature etc there is and who's in the picture. Don't want to get spoilertastic about it but if you lurk around the forums you'll see.

    http://blog.nbc.com/hiro_blog/ <---- Hiro's blog. Cute touch.

http://www.tv.com/heroes/godsend/episode...pisodes;title;0 <--- Trailer for next ep can be seen here.

This is what you wrote: maybe check these out instead of....whatever you think you meant by it I saw it as being pretty dick-ish. The example you put had no relevance to the discussion at hand so it didn't even make sense as a "hang on, here's some information you might find handy".

I wasn't taking a highroad...who has the time to get involved in every other website out there? Usually when people try and get others involved in another website they post something that exemplifies it....if your cut and paste (assumed) is indicative of what I would need to wade through to get information I'd rather pass. As stated.

In the end I was just responding to Myke's original post because I happen to watch the same show he does. I don't know many personal "blogs of reflection" that begin with other people making the first post.

To be less dick-ish about my own response: I like discussion and like it even more when there's a ton of uncertainty. If I wanted all of the answers I'd probably hit the site you mentioned but there's no fun in that. It's like skipping to the back of the puzzle book and peeking at the answers.

Kiwe, thanks for the links but where's the harm in having our own thoughts and discussions? What if we don't necessarily want to jump into the mosh pit that is the official forums?

I have to concur with GE. Your initial response was more dickish than his reply, and you could have at least given the forum links in the first place instead of just telling us to go there.

In any case, after reading a couple of threads on the official forums, particularly on the topic of the latest episode, I can safely say that I wasn't missing much, if anything at all.

I'd much prefer exchanging a couple of posts with the likes of GE and others on here, than sifting through thread with over a 100 replies, most of which are noise. I find my intelligence offended way less on vfdc, too.

Ok, Ipod + long commute = time caught up on season 1 of Heroes:

Man I can see what you guys are complaining about with Sylar. I mean the room escape sequence just had me scratching my head.

Unfortunately this show (although enjoyable and I'll continue to watch) is falling victim to poor writing the way Smallville did after its first season. The "Save the cheerleader/Save the world" angle doesn't cut for me as that character isn't nearly as charismatic as any of the other players in the story.

Smallville suffers daily from plot breaks/unexplained occurences, and I think dealing with special abilities complicates continuity. There's a lot to keep track of, and it's simple to misstep here and there.

It does have Jeph Loeb co-writting or something like that, and although he's done so ok time travaling jazz, I really find he's a poor writter.

Hiro will get his sword in a museum so yeah that's very plausible

I think he will travel to a future where the japanese have become nearly extinct. There, he will meet a one armed samurai chick and take her sword.

That must be devastating to their VF scene.

    I called it! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Any thoughts on this return EP?

I didn't like how Sylar's all conveniently held captive again. There's a massive gap between his scene with Eden, and him in the cell again.

Did I mention I'm over the Jess/Niki storyline?

Another thing I'm beginning to get annoyed by is that symbol that keeps appearing everywhere. Alright! We get it! It's special and cool and mystical and powerful and.. all that! Just pleeeaaassee stop bashing us over the head with it!@!! Every. Damn. Episode!

Apart from the introduction of Mr. Invisible, this EP for me was more filler, and less thriller.

I've got high hopes for mr invisible.Claude according to imdb. I always seem to find Eccleston entertaining.

After such a long wait I really could have done with a more substantial episode. I guess it did fit as the beggining of chapter 2 thing they were going for.

myke, one of the problems with Heroes is that they've decided to run a (very bad) comic alongside the episodes; one of the issues explains why Sylar remains back in his cell. I haven't read all of them, just the one that explains this bit when I discovered that it had an answer. its a webcomic, I don't think it is worth reading really but I will get the links for the issues shortly.

GE, I've heard about these webcomics, but I've yet to read any. I'm a bit disappointed if the show can't stand on it's own and needs to rely on these peripheral sources to fill in, what I believe to be, important gaps in an episode.

Not only that Myke, the comics aren't always very accurate either, if I remember correctly.

    Cuz, well ain't that grand!

Shag, relax, I know you did! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif I just don't think it should be required reading material for every episode! I think it's great if it supplies background or side-story related information to help flesh out some aspects of back or side story, but I consider the Sylar plotline to be a major component of the series!

To leave a gaping hole like that, especially after a long break, was not nice! I'd much prefer the entire Niki/DL/Micah sub plot be relegated to a webcomic until they decide to make it more interesting! Even the end of the EP when Niki turns to the camera and says, "who needs God when... etc" was just sooo cheesey, in a bad way, and made me cringe. Ending a highly anticipated return episode that way left a bad taste in my mouth.

I fully agree with you Myke. Lately there's been a push to releasing information critical to a show's plot on additional media. worse, the producers don't seem concerned about letting the viewers know about it! The web comic is free but if you don't know it exists free isn't much good.

I read the first issue and immediately discarded it. awful writing, awful art. Bad move on the part of the producers.

ending line was toxic. as if I didn't already hate the jessica/nikki plot line enough.
