So I hope people show up tomorrow! Rich and I should arrive aroudn 8:00pm, hungry for some international competition /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Also, can anyone hook me up with directions to the arcade you play at? Or at least what street it is on?

I wouldn't mind parking the car around the Opera House and then taking public transportation to the arcade...

And do you guys have any house rules (ala marcy rounds or anything)?

house rules = have fun. We generally don't give mercy rounds but if someone requests them we don't burn them with cigarettes (none of us smoke).

Llan, you should send an email out to all the boys and get things rolling so Supergolden and pals have a good turn out. I am actually going to be close to Rochester tomorrow (about 40 minutes away, how weird) so I hope everyone has tons of fun.

Supergolden: I'll probably be downtown tomorrow night so if you guys want, I can meet up with you downtown near the subway and we'll take it from there. Just need to know what subway station you guys want to meet up at and at what time. Let me know soon.

We are going to drop friends off at The Opera House at around 7:30 or 8:00... I don't know what subway that is by, but we could meet someone there, or maybe just drive from there to Enter La... Rich and I are identical twins with long hair, I got a beard and he has a goatee... Just look for my avatar if you want to meet up some place before the arcade...

hmmm...well I finally found out where opera house is so it looks like it would be best to just meet up a Queen subway station. To get there all you need to do is go west on Queen Street until you get to Yonge Street. Then look for a TTC sign and just go down to the subway. I'll meet up with you on the subway platform at 8:00pm. I'll probably recognize you guys but just in case, I'm a 6 foot 5 white guy with medium long dark hair and I'll wear jeans and a leather jacket. It'll take us about 45 mins from there to get to the arcade. If that's alright with you and Rich then let me know.

Hope everyone shows up tomorrow, we'll be there by 8:50pm if everything goes well.

I think it's easiest for you guys to drive to the arcade, really. I fired off a PM to you guys just now with detailed directions and my cell #. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

I'm not sure yet. FokFu said he's free to play on Friday's so he might be able to make it. I PM'ed him about 30mins ago...I'll also email Joe.

Supergolden: Let me know if your driving down yourself or if you'd rather meet up with me and go by subway, it's not a big problem for me because I'll be there at around 7pm anyways.

Great to have played host to Namflow and Supergolden for an evening of Evo! Thanks for coming up guys, the games were tight and quite a lot of fun. Always nice to fight new people, and even more nice when they're good players too /versus/images/icons/smile.gif Thanks again! We'll see ya on the 8th in Rochester.

Hey all thanks for hosting us! It was a great time, we had a lot of great matches, and everyone was really friendly & awesome. It's a shame the kick button on the 1p side at the first arcade got busted (I remember doing shun's + and not having the second one come and and being like "... huh?" But then we moved to the new arcade and it was all good. Great directions (thanks Owen!) and we only managed to get a little bit lost while moving between arcades. I think I'm going to have nightmares about Lau for a couple nights /versus/images/icons/smile.gif. I can't wait for you guys to come down for Revivial, with the tight level of competition the tournament is going to be along with the general friendliness and awesomeness of the VF players that we'll inspire some of the Rochester crew to give Smash a break and play some VF4. Well... one can hope right?

Anyways it was an awesome time and I definitely think we'll be up one or two more times before summer. See ya guys

Hey guys,

First thanks a lot to everyone who came out and played Friday night! And again thanks to Llanfair for very detailed and accurate directions... Like Rich said we are really looking forward to Revival... I doubt the tournament will run to midnight so we'll have lots of time for free play and maybe will get a snack or something (if any of you guys like Buffalo wings you'll be in for a treat)...

And again thanks for some good matches, I feel Rich and I could learn much from playing against you guys some more...

Well, it's a week till rochester now, kbcat pointed out to me yesterday, so I thought it would be beneficial to organize a ps2 meet before we leave. Any ideas?

Anyways, anyone free to play evo this weekend preferably in the evening(after 5 or 6)?

Okie dokie. As of tomorrow afternoon, my place is open for as much PS2 VF4 as anyone wants. I'm going to be practicing all week im preparation, and anyone is free to join in whenever they please. So, it's up to you guys, what night suits who? /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

I'm game - any night this week, including this Sunday evening.
