[Hydra] VF4 in Florida, what a wonderful thing!

I have to agree with IMF about playing with the pad (it sucks). I can't pull off DLC. Oh well, just wish my stick would arrive soon. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

Hi Akira, Hi cappo. IMF is actually using a MAS arcade stick like the ones on MvC2 and CvS2. He's not having to use the pad like we are. I dunno which is worse to use though. The pad, or that stick. At least I think you can pull off no charge moves on a MAS without much problems.

Enk, not sure about when we can get everyone together for some games. Are you able to play after work?

How are you doing on the game everyone? Myself, I only have 1st dan akira and lau. Still not sure on how to use "special items" (VF1 style characters,etc) . Anybody know????

Yes, I actually cleared my schedule so I could play all night. I'm having friends come over again and you're welcome to come over too. Just show up. I have 1st Dan Kage.

 

Man it feels like I just came up from air. Been playing VF4 for like 14 straight hours. Stomp I'm calling you now........................................O.K. just got done calling stomp. As far as VF4, MY GOD, its awesome. The best fighter I've played yet. The overall feel of the menus, music, and options gives you a tingly feeling when you turn it on. I don't know what I'm going to do. I guess play as much as I can possibly manage. Gatherings- We need them, when, and where. If you guys are game this weekend we can have one at my house or anywhere else. I'm open for anytime after 7:30 in the evening everyday, not including my days off. So ring me up guys. I'll PM my # to everyone Stomp style =). Later.

 

I have no problems with the pad. In fact I think I perform better with the pads. At least that was how i was in KI, SFA2, KI 2, and other fighting games. But it's all good. I like the game a lot.

I just got an email from buyrite.net and they said that they are all out of Hori sticks. I was wondering if you got the same email. I'm going to try and order one from http://www.toysnjoys.com/access_ps2.html . with 2 day shipping by UPS it's 3 duckets cheaper. I'm 2nd Dan Kage, and 9th Kyu Wolf. I can't advance unless I go into Kumite or let my pals play against each other so they can go up in rank cause they just aren't beating me enough. I did recieve, 2x triple stars, & Samurai Hair, and for Wolf I recieved, Purple Shades, Thin Black Shades, and Black Tatoo.

 

You hands are huge! They never design a control pad for you. I knew you struggled with the nes and genesis controller! lol

 

Slow down guys! I am not quite there yet. 1st dan Lion with a nose ring and motorcycle helmet! So I don't have to see his ugly grill.

 

funny thing is i was comfortable with the newer saturn controller........need....arcade......schtick.

 

Very cool about your characters. That sucks about buyrite. I haven't gotten an email, yet, so hopefully I won't.

Right now I have 1st Dan Akira, Lau, and Shun, working on Aoi. The VF1 style Akira is a good laugh, but the Shun looks pretty cool.

Hey thanks for the tip on the vf 1 characters John. Yeah, Gaishou, I really liked both saturn controllers. the original one and the one that had the analog pad that came with the game Nights. They were really cool. I only wish more systems had that install plug that the gamecube has. You can plug it in and put your ps2 controllers and use them to play the gamecube games. I don't use them because I like the gamecube controllers, but my friends can't have an excuse for not playing their best with a gamecube controller. so I let them use the ps 2 controller. Want super nes controller on ps2. lol

 

Alright guys, it's official, I had intentions of a get together tonight but it fell through. Not enough notice. So here it is. I'm off on "SUNDAY", "ALL DAY" come saturday night stay sunday, til whenever, guys will be here playing VF round the clock. And if they aren't I will be. So Sunday come over or saturday come over. Between now and then whoever is coming give me a call at home or work.

Hey Blonde one, me and Axel will probably be there on sunday. I will give you a call for directions. Sorry your night didn't go through. But we will sure likely make it on sunday. Should be fun. count us in. As far as my friends, I think one other might come. We all have controllers and memory cards, so don't worry about it. And only mature people hang out with me.
