Well in Enks defense (not that he needs any) they did hang with a couple of broads according to more than just him. Now as far as the gaming is concerned? Who knows....and well...who cares? But one thing you can't take away from him....he did win. Sucky pads or not.

Funny I didnt know until after we left that you are one of the best in the world at tekken. Your vf skills are really good, and Im sure had we stayed longer you would have adapted to our styles and demolished us. Well everthing except my Jeffery, cause blackman bohemia rules all lol. Hey, have fun in London, hope you learned some stuff from hydra, cause we learned a bunch from you.

 

Question: Seriously do any of you virtua fighter players here have any desire to put a value on your time playing the game? When I say value I mean playing for money.

I'm not saying this to say "You all are pussys because you don't play for money." Simply because a lot of the Virtua Fighter players in the US find playing for money abhorrent. Why? The only reason why I can see is that the community is so small that you really won't be paying to see anything you haven't seen before. From running a few successful tournaments I realized the main draw to something like this is the sense of mystery, or a hope to see something new in a game you know and love. If the lot of us have a tournament the chance that someone new is going to show up is hella slim, and I think everyone for the most part knows where everyone else stands when it comes down to it, the most random people being Enk and Blonde One from what I've seen who either do really good or do "okay." But waiting to see Enk get boasting rights, or if I can cheap my way a few wins, or if anyone can break IMF's or The Dudes focused concentration of death....I guess isn't really worth the price of admission?

Do you think that later down the line we may be ready for a money tournament? Actually I was much more interested in one when I was anti IBD, but now it hardly holds my interest simply unless other people are "into" it as well. I guess I'm trying to find another reason to continue to play VF "hardcore" like, because believe it or not, after my loss to the dude, at the end of the "Where the fuck is IMF and Blonde One" tourney. I almost felt like sitting down for hours trying to learn more just so I could kick his ass.

Ahhh well...supposed to be going out tonight with my roomie....she's late....this sucks....peace.

it was nice to finaly play some american vf players

btw, i'm only l33t at TTT, not T4, the only reason i beat imf at T4 is cos i played hella cheap

but hey, i'll prolly be coming back in 4 years ( for summer vacation) so we can get together and play some VF5 /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

 

I think the plan is to make a name for ourselves on the VF map. Then, when we hold our local tournaments and gatherings for money ala OD, we will have more out of state competition, for all games. I think Blonde and IMF going to NY is a good start, and when they hold there big frolic later this year, a lot of us should go.

Also we have to remember all the bad ass players we have in Orlando. The roster dosent end with the dude, imf and blonde. STomp, axel, myself, and stoopid all play our asses off as well. So i think we have a really good chance at being highly competitive as a team in the long run.

Enkindu, I would include you but in my opinion you have a poor team mentality. This is not an attack on your VF skills. Ive always said your a good player. I just dont think you care about making a name for florida VF as much as you do for yourself, Which is not something wrong. Basically I just want to end the bad blood. And btw i just got my stick so you wont have to worry about the programmable buttons.

 

Yeah Shinjin, it is too bad we didn't get together sooner than we did. Ah well, we still had a good time and I'm gald we did get to play you at least once before you went back home. I also wish I had brought my TTT so you could've handed me my ass ;P Damn T4 is easy to play! I hadn't played since VF4 came out and still did alright...bleh.

I told you the truth about IMF's, B_O's, and all the rest of their skill levels. Whats your opinion of their skill compared to mine since we've only played on the Pad against each other. People from Miami came to play in only that game. People from Mt Dora came too late to play. I won very very easily, undefeated, regardless of what you say.

Truth is Team Hydra guys won't play me or Uncauzi for money is because they know we've been sand-bagging our skill and they are too afraid to see what our level of play lives up to. No bullshit.

Once again I'm baffled. What makes money so "GRAND". Do you have any friends? You don't take your friends money. Sure if you and enk want some money matches. You guys practice real hard and you might get one. But as for the rest of us. We're Content!!! VF is a hobby not an income, I play good cause I'm driven by my own ambition. Money is not my ambition in VF. Maybe for my REAL job in sales =). But not for what I love to do. Why taint it with money, and why take your closest friends money who play the game with you all the time knowing your solely playing as a hobby and for fun. If we were playing for money you guys wouldn't even pay up. Well to each their own I guess, I hardly consider money "tainting" anything. I don't know where people got the idea that earning money doing something you like to do is a bad thing. Somewhere along the lines people got things crossed. I consider earning money from something I don't like to do distasteful, not the other way around.

About the freinds thing, of course I have freinds. Me and my freinds will also take each others money, who cares! We're freinds! I'd rather give them my money than the electric company, well unless I'm behind on my payments. We tend to treat each other to food from time to time too. What comes around goes around generally. I'm not afraid to lose money personally or financially. I'm don't have a shortage and I've technically been unemployed for 2 years. I also don't know anyone who will become mad at me because I beat them in a videogame for 10 bucks. Maybe that would destroy relationships with you all? Would the loss of 10 bucks destroy team hydra? That only means that your freindships aren't built on a very solid foundation.

Just rememeber I come from a classic gaming background and tournament background. Where I come from and how I was brought up is people play for money and they play to win. Enkindu is part of a competitive gaming community already, money is a common place thing. Why the VF community frowns on it, in such a way is beyond me.

To be honest though, I would like to see you and Enkindu play for fifty bucks. If you can beat him, why not do it? Is it the pressure?

P.S. Not to be pissy or even sound like an asshole, but I don't consider vf to be "sacred" and I don't consider you all "freinds" in the litteral sense, yet. Gaming associates is more like it. I think we've exchanged less words in real life than I've typed in this post and that goes for all of you. Oh my God this guy shinjin is a liar. We only played once in TK4 and that was all, how he thinks he beat me with Paul is beyond me. I did the low kick senbon to him on purpose, but I really didn't expect it to come out because of the pad, that's what I said. As for The_dude taking my posts out of context, you can shove that up your ass. You won't play me for money so I lose interest in playing scrubs dramaticly, so I take big risks for the big reward and I still come out on top! Hey, Casual play means nothing, dorks. I've been whipping IMF, The_dude, and Blonde_Ones ass since the game first came out. No bullshit. Uncauzi has too, he racked up 77 wins one night against them. I got 54+ playing agianst them. If you really want to compare casual wins, you're not even remotely compareable to Uncauzi and I. Go practice some more.
