[Hydra] VF4 in Florida, what a wonderful thing!

I will know in 2 days, it all depends on where OD will be held. So far it looks like there will be a:
MvC2
CvS2
3S
and maybe a Garou tourney,
I've had requests for a Tekken tourney
and a VF tourney but that's all up in the air.

Hydra SC2??

How many of you think we should add SC/SC2 to our list of games Team Hydra hands ass at? I've been thinking about playing some SC lately myself. It doesn't look too hard to pick up...snicker... /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif Maybe we could start having it on one TV at Stomp's gatherings? He's got enough of them /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

What do you guys think?

Nice guys play Sc2 for real, not that I'm going to be that hardcore at it, but I'd love to see some heated comp between you guys and the Tampa boys at an OD.

Check this out guys! There seems to be a some what large SC tourney coming up in ATL on Aug. 3rd. And from what I gather they will have a VF4 tourney also. Not sure as of yet. I already posted an said that we would try to make it. /versus/images/icons/smirk.gif Especially if VF4 is there.

U guys werent into it much when i was there. VF4 was the gogogo. BTW finally played VF4 in arcade /versus/images/icons/wink.gif like last week friday, when i was in Canada.

How are your games coming along, i can imagine IMF would beat me even worse than before, same goes with Carl if he is still playing VF4, and Blonde would prolly bitchslap me with Jacky =)

Hey guys, you want soul Calibur at the gathering. NO problem, I do have five tvs! Hell, we can have movies running as we play games too. It is all good to me. It's just that usually no one speaks up so that's why I don't set anything else up. As far as Garou in my gatherings Unc, it's always here ever since Deathbringa brought it over three and a half weeks ago, and I bought it the next day and started playing. Not good at it, but I enjoy the game. I have two controller pads and Jedi let me borrow his memory card and it will always be running if people want to play. Since I have five tv's I can run several games with no problem. So make that extra effort to come over. Just one thing, I don't have a joystick, so you might be stuck playing even more simple street fighter tactics on garou with the pad. So I guess on the next gathering, we can have two VF4, soul calibur/garou, and bomberman generations! Watch out for Chris's convetor belt tactics. Oh yeah, if Soul Calibur 2 comes out at Disney Quest, I suggest you all get an annual pass so you guys can go there for a whole year and play the game. They also have a version b vf4 there and from time to time, they have some comp tourists that play the game. There is also tekken 4 and a few other games. So I am pressing the managment hard for SC2. I think the annual pass is like 80 dollars. Not bad for one year of unlimted play. I'll be back at Rockies when SC2 comes out also. It should be a good time at the arcade again.

I'll bring my DC sticks. Come on by UnC, a few of us will play you at MotW. None of us are any good at it though /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif It doesn't help that my copy stoped working a while back so I haven't played since around the time it came out.

It could be time to start heading back to Rockys soon, if SC2 proves to be worth the trip /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

It would be good to have you all back. Although I act like I hate advanced gameplay nowadays, I do love seeing the journey people take to get there. Just remember if I pull out some random BS in Soul Calibur that it's just another obstacle for you to overcome. And you will, and I'm sure over time the length of time for you to get past my bullshit factor will shorten, so I won't have any room to say "Remember the days when I used to kick your ass" to hold on to /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

I'm not saying this to be pissy btw, it's just that I'm excited that the level of gameplay in FL has gotten that much higher. I doubt once the next VF game comes out or Tekken game or what not comes out, that I'll be able to walk up to it and pull 70 wins again. Hell I think once Tekken 4 came out I can count my wins against you on one hand. My losses on two, and it would have been more if I would have kept playing you /versus/images/icons/wink.gif I KNOW I won't be the first out the gates in the 2D games. Not that I ever dominated the general SF game scene (didn't do to shabby though), but the versus series I did.

Now whenever a game comes out for me it's going to be more about "keeping up" from the get go instead of just "Kicking ass until the console comes out." That in and of itself is exciting to me because my initial "Wow it's a new game" drive will finally meet with my "Holy shit, I'm losing" excuses, which all completely disappear once I meet solid comp on a brand new game.

You know, I psycho analyze myself to much. But sure do some soul caliburage and I'll show you what I know and maybe you all can show me a thing or two once you get your teeth into it.

No sweat with me and garou though, I haven't played it in months, and I only played it online (emulator) for about 2 weeks. I just talk like I'm good...yknow, the usual

Unc, me, Axel, Pablo, and Imf play the game. I am pretty sure there are others that play it too. Yeah, SC2 should bring us all back to rockies. Also, SC2 for the gamecube baby. Link will be in the game. I can't wait to hear the theme song to zelda while playing. lol

I learned how to play with the original cast from soul edge, but in soul caliber I only learned Ivy and Kilik.
