I doubt Ice played cheaply. I wasn't really watching, but after I played with him quite a bit, I can't say that he played cheaply. In fact, on different dan-level matches, he never really AIMED for the Koenraku ring out.

The guy he played with is a notirous "one-pattern" player. Back w/ the feedback system, all his characters had 30-40 one pattern feedbacks. He loved it - that was his trade mark. And besides, it's one thing to not like someone's playing style and quit - it's another to keep playing, and then explode after 5 matches.

Just had an experience myself over the weekend. Lost it over a match against a Lei Fei player /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I wasn't mad at him rather just mad that I didn't know the character too well and lost. After a trip to the restroom I came back to defeat the said Lei Fei player and I even apologized. (Sorry Kojiro-San!!!!)

It's all good Jerky, it was some close matches though so you got it down for the most part. I have a friend who was also at a tourney who is different kinda hot head, he doesn't like to practice but is suprised when he loses. It's good though as after recent tourney we talked him into practicin more and it's good to see that anyone can be taught. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah, it's cool man. Honestly that was really out of character for what i did. (that's like the first time it's ever happened) I guess it was the built up frustration of not doing as well i hoped and lack of sleep that put me over the edge a bit.

Just do like I do - swear really loud. Makes for some good laughs, especially when Japanese people try to repeat it. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If I get enough sugar AND alcohol, my game can be viscious. I only got into a few confrontations, but that was more due to the shitty location of the arcade and the clientell...the arcade was shut down about 3 years ago due to drug problems and all of the problems associated with drugs.

Jeff's read this post, but apparantly didn't have time to reply. He said he'd be back in Singapore by the weekend at the latest. Haven't heard from him in a few days though.

On a side note - my friend went berserk again today. Not only that, I learned that's his third time to pull that shit. One day he'll do it to the wrong person and get his ass bitch-slapped. I think he's on rohyphonol or something -- the only thing I can make of that makes you really sluggish, like alcohol, and really pissy, like a disfunctional father.

Mannn.. does the real fighting more like Jacky's style (beat knuckle) or like Akira style (yohou) ? /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Isn't that the date-rape drug? Anyway you should have a chat with your friend, for his own sake.

Nah, some people just need to learn the hard way. Since me grabbing him by the shoulder and escorting him out didn't work, maybe him pissing off the wrong person and getting a mouthful of knuckles will.

Yes, Rohyphonol (sp?) is the date-rape drug, but it's actually used for a lot of other purposes -- recreational more than date rape...just doesn't make good press that way.

Rohypnol...and yeah it is used for medicinal purposes, insomnia I believe. Don't know what dosage your friend is on, but it supposedly doesn't mix well with booze. *shrug*

That shit doesn't mix well with anything -- especially people. I don't know if it has medicinal use in the states legally anymore. I'm from Texas, and I had friends that would go to Mexico, get a prescription, and bring it back. That's definitely illegal now. Either way - the world is a better place w/o it.

For insomnia, you'll almost always get Ambien - a very weak drug that my ex-girlfriend took (for insomnia) and even then, they're reluctant to prescribe it. They come in handy for 10+ hour flights.

it's still legal and being used(perscribed) in japan, but has been classified as a class 1 narcotic in the united states i.e. banned for all intensive purposes.

I've never heard of anyone getting prescribed anything useful in Japan (for any sickness). I got a cold one time, and got 7 forms of Placebo. It just seems like something way too strong. Japanese doctors are even stingy with things like anaesthetics. Someone must be psychotic to get prescribed that here.
