it was a joke when i said Cody, just cuz he was in all those cheesy kickboxer sequels /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif ya i never really thought of how short Jet Li is but i think he would be a really good Lei Fei if it wasnt' for that. But i really stand by my choice for Lau, the guy who played Shang Tsung in MK! He would definitly play the role well. for jacky we could have Ben Affleck! after seeing his awesome performance in Dare Devil how could you argue with that /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif LOL

    noooo.

I just wanted to point out that Kevin Smith Absolutely SUCKS as an action director (and he admits it) so from that point of view you made the worst choice for director. I would push for whoever did those time lapse movies of flowers blooming as a close second .

Kevin Smith has *NEVER* directed an Action film, so your observation is false. His college projects do not count either as the ones that could even barely be labeled as Action films were in fact spoofs and meant to be done poorly.

As well as he can write in relation to action-style projects I feel he would be a very good choice to mix action, intelligent character development, and tradition with a feel for the modern generation. If you just want a sheer intense action film just get John Woo or Ang Lee.

    no no....

I never said he directed an "action movie" just that he was very bad at directing action. And he's admitted it in interviews so its not just my opinion.

Kevin has a great style but it is almost flat when he has to frame a sequence for a fight or needs to denote excitement. I'm not saying he can't evolve but as it stands now an action movie directed by him (including the fight scenes) would be a sleeper.

Kevin Smith did *NOT* direct Vulgar. Kevin was the Executitve Producer of the project for a friend. Bryan Johnson (Steve-Dave from all of Kevin Smith's movies) was the director and writer of Vulgar. I do agree that it is an incredbly horrible movie. I thought nothing could be as bad as "Shakes the Clown" or "Killer Clowns from Outer Space" when it came to crappy clown movies, but Vulgar proved me wrong. I'm a big nerd for Kevin Smith films.
