I'm trying to start a DOA/VF Flame War!

I have been a long viewer of these boards. I have always enjoyed DOA as my favorite fighter. I mean, come on, the breasts are huge and fun to look at the *physics* engine (especially when spectating a match). I remember first seeing VF in the arcades, it was awesome but not in a close distance for me to play frequently. VF is a great game as well. I picked up VF5 when it came out on the 360, although I haven't played it as much as DOA I can see why people enjoy the game (I'm a Wolf user).

What I'm trying to get at is that some people are looking for flames from both communities and it just really shouldn't be promoted (as many of you have graciously said). Both communities are doing great reppin' their games and having fun playing their fellow members. Some of the major DOA players have/are played/ing VF5, it's not an exclusive community where you can't play more than one fighter.

The fact is, that one of the major reasons DOA was taken out of WCG is due to the Championship Gaming Series' exclusive rights to use the game. I wish both games could be a part of the event, especially since DOA spawned off of the Virtua Fighter engine. However, with that said, I hope all the competitors at WCG this year rep their game properly and maybe you will be able to score a second year at WCG. Both communities don't really need hate against the other and I appreciate that many of you already understood that.

Auvii, I know you find it funny to "start a flame war" Why? Maybe the way they reacted is funny. Maybe they have been saying that VF is crap and this and that, and maybe they have big egos and they deserve it. A little lesson. Heck, I really dont like DOA either and VF deserves that spot. ( I dont know if thats good, given the stupid,propaganda way in wich the event is presented to the public ) And maybe they've been a little shallow for the expressions made against VF. But hey, people are free to choose whatever they want to play. Even if they fail to acknowledge VF's superiority in terms of gameplay, some folks just like it easy and like to feel comfortable in their own world. Or perhps they just plain dont like VF. And that doesn't mean that I didn't laugh when I read all this. It was funny the way they kept whining. Maybe its educational for their egos. Maybe they'll play VF now!! Who knows!! Maybe we are all just sides of the same coin. BUT what I dont like is that statement about "starting a war". Wars are stupid, even if they are just lame forum wars. Fanboys or fans of a game arguing over wich one is best. Still, emotions fly and humans keep doing it all over again. From a psychological point of view, it was fun to see how they whine when won't have lollipops no more to feed their ego. And their false egos started to implode. But starting a war is not cool and Im not gonna be part of it. I do not flame other games. I just get frustrated when people cant see certain things. As if they were blind. Like the way nobody dares to play VF in my country because they fail to see how great it is. Or because everybody in my country follows the crowd like sheep. I still dont think that trying to "start a war" is fun. In fact, that has always been the human problem. Wars are destructive. All of them. They're no joke. Right now, some very powerful people are trying to get everybody to fight against each other. Be careful my friend. Cuz we may be closer to the real thing than ever before. What I mean is. Maybe their reaction is funny when DOA got pulled BUT trying to "start a war" or trying to piss people off just for fun it's not cool.

I agree. Creataing a flame war is not the way to go in order for us to get along with other gaming communities. Nothing good is going to come from creatine a flame war.
What we should really try to crate is peace and happyness with other fighting game communities. Then we can all get together and start cretin friendships. Please, Auvii, stop crayoning flame wars.

I don't see why theres a "You have to like DOA only" or a "Like VF only" or any other fighting game kind of mindset. I'm glad VF got into WCG too but that doesn't mean I'm going to rub salt in the DOA fans wounds.

In fact by doing that you may have helped them make up their minds that VF sucks. Who knows maybe there were some of them that might have given it a chance.

doa and vf huh well both r fun its all wut your in a mood 4 ,,az 4 the better game vf got that and i am good in doa still have my SS rank in that game just got bored quick,after saying all that soon az a new one comes out ill be back on it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

 

My Doa Sits lovely Next to my VF5. To top it all off i need Tekken 6 on 360 so i really won't need a PS3.
