Yes, it's been a long time. I heard that you had given up VF4...did you ever get a 300? LA has a good scene now, with at least 6 or 7 regular players that weren't playing when you were. We even have a strong Kage/Lau player -- the socal feixaq -- although he's Tawainese. There's always been talk of some of us taking a trip up to the bay area, but then we thought no one up there played anymore, especially since Yusuke is leaving or is gone. I wonder if he's surviving the heat. Anyhow, I read the bay area thread, and it seems that you have a bunch of new people to play with. We should meet up sometime soon!

brian: I can tattoo you anytime, but I'd rather not do it on Game Night.

For this gathering, the Tattoo Shop isn't really ideal, but it'd work. Just sounds like a lot of people, and we wouldn't be able to start until after 11. But, thought I'd offer it as a last resort.

sorry for the short notice, but it took forever to get a hold of sean, seems like hes engrossed in some other game now. I dont have the address off hand but im sure you can find it in this thread somewhere or some other one.

Big thank you to Sean for opening up his place yet again. Thank you, Spotlite, for offering the tattoo shop as well. Catherine and I will be at Sean's with a setup tonight unless the majority wants to play in Los Angeles.

I hope to see a big turnout from LA and SD. Cameron, are you going to make it? Been a long time since I've seen your Jeffrey in action (or did you say you didn't like him any more?). Go Team Pandemic! We need Joon and Wes as well.

Oh yeah, Chibita, Ohsu, NeoTower, and Yamagishi are certainly welcome, as far as I'm concerned. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sean's place is better than the tattoo shop because it's bigger, and we can start earlier... I think. Bryan, Joey, and I will all be showing up tonight, hopefully around 9.

8-9 is the usual good time to start
seans only got a small 13 inch tv right now as of the moment because a roomate moved out. Talis if you can bring your TVs and give me a call in advance I'll help you move them in.

Seans PS2 is also acting funky so if we can get an extra machine that would be great. From both Bryan or you.

Heya Plague,

Good to speak to you this morning. Just a quick update. I know I've been off the scene for a long time, but like I said to you I've been training up some new talent!

Now it's looking like we'll be able to offer a gathering place in Westwood sometime in the near future (next couple of weeks). I don't want to overstate this since it's not my place, it's a friend's, so it's not mine to promise. But he's indicated that it should be cool. He's just moved in and needs a week or two to get settled.

I'll keep you posted on that, but if it works out this will be a good way to introduce Team Pandemic to the greater LA VF scene (although some of them went to Evo, so they know what's up =] ).

Looking forward to getting into it again. Yes I have lost interest in Jeffry. I've had a long Pai binge, and have now switched to Vanessa, who I find weird yet strangely satisfying.

Good get together last night. Thanks to everyone for taking time to attend. Thank you again, Sean, for opening up your place to everyone.


Some impressions:


Spotlite: incredible mind games with Akira catch throw.

Joey: I think I lost 20 out of 21 games with you over the evening. Killer Lau.

In general: I think Evo2k3 really cranked up everyone's skills.

We got a tentative VF meet going for this friday, im trying to invite some of the new players down. Theres 2 of them i know of, just doing a head check of whos interested so far.

I won't be able to play on Friday and then for the next two weeks. I can meet on Wednesday or late Thursday - but Wednesday is better for me. I think Bryan also said that Wednesday would be the last day this week that he could play.

This month is just really jammed with things for us to do. October looks much better for Catherine and I.

How about planning for an all nighter on Friday, October 3rd. Might even do it at our house. Construction's not done yet, but the scaffolding should be out of the fireplace room by then (unless this $%#@ing heat continues full force - it keeps us from finishing the ceiling). Others are welcome to offer their places, though - we'll glady drive to SD, LA, or Pomona for a big get together with setups in tow. Last time at Sean's place was great.

Well i can still do the wednesday meet, its still summer for me, but im also planning an extra friday meet. The friday meet is for the newer players because one of them is only available friday. Im just hoping this meet will spark greater interest in the game for them.
