Hello to all. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I'm the newbie guy (who doesn't know how to play sarah and aoi that well) that was there last night at AI.

Glad to play some people who actually know how to play this thing well. Hopefully, I can brush off and re-learn what little I use to know and have some good matches with you guys soon.

hey guys we really need your help. We just found out from kyasao that we will not be able to get version B. It seems as though sega verifies the reasons why arcade owners need the disk. So kyasao told them that it going to be sent to us in the US. Sega said fuck no. Although we paid for it we can not get it because they dont want it exported to US. Well atleast that's what kyasao told us.

So do you guys think you could find out from your arcade owner if he could get another disk for US. We would gladly pay the extra charge if there is one. Anything you can do for us is greatly appreciated. Wether its info that leads to a copy of FT or not. This really bites since we just updated our cards and now there worthless once we go back to the states this week.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF VF.... HELP US!!!!!!!!!! WELL HELP ME ANYWAYS I REALLY NEED FT.

Argh! That sounds horrible.

Nordic (Thomas, aka AI Tom) is our main contact with the owners of AI. He would be the man to talk to. I don't have his phone number anymore. I think PhoenixDth does.

PM'ing could work, too. I don't know how often Nordic checks VFDC.

If anything, I or some other SoCal player will probably see him at AI within the week. I'll do what I can to get your request to him.

ok on a serious note Nordic will be the one that you need to talk to. He knows the arcade owners, but i don't know how they will be able to get 2 Version B's...maybe send the copy to them and hope to god that they can exchange it, but then they only ordered one FT so Im not sure how that will work. Don't want to F' up are chances to get Version C. Or maybe you can go back to Japan get the magic key and then do the Version B spell..OPEN OPEN OPEN SPOD OPEN!!! is the chant I believe. Or the easiest solution is just to travel to L.A. shouldn't cost that much well at least not as much as going to Japan. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

But seriously just talk to Nordic...he knows the owners.

heh, that sucks...

I actually think you have a better chance of getting the disk in Japan than trying to have AI help you.

When Kyasao was trying to get the disc for you, did he provide Sega with all the serial numbers etc? I might try to get someone else to take the board wherever you got it from, saying you want to upgrade. You paid the money for the game, you have the right to get the upgrade. The only reason you should need is "because you, Sega, decided to change the game". I'd just tell them the person who takes it in uses it at home.

Seriously, if you're still in Japan, I'd try like hell while you're there, I really doubt AI'll be able to help ya out.

Since Nyawu lives in the dorms, me and brian will probably pop in at his place once in a while after classes

Heh, that's cool. I'm going to play Guitar Freaks at AI tonight with Glenn, Brisal73, and Jake.

I'll show up closer to 7:30 or 8:00 to play GF. GF night usually ends around 9:30 or 10:00 so I be around to play VF FT.... ooh, wait.... Jake is riding with me, so it will need to be OK with him.

Last night was cool.

Thank you to <font color="white">akiralove, andy,</font> and <font color="white">PhoenixDth</font> for coming to AI last night. I learned a lot and felt like I stepped up my game a little bit.

Catherine and I will not be going to play at AI on Saturday.

Last Thursday night was very cool.

I'm up for it again. Catherine should be, too.

For everyone: Please post if want to meet at AI tomorrow (Thursday) night. This is one of those "we'll be there if someone else will," type things. Last week we scheduled for 9:30 pm. I'd prefer an earlier start for tomorrow, say 8:00 pm.

Just wondering if you have anything planned around E3 time? I'm going to be really busy with event coverage, but I'm pretty sure I might (key word MIGHT) be able to get some time to play during one of the days before the show starts. I can bring my Vanessa cards and we can have a grand ol' time! Maybe Fishie might even want to show up!

E3 usually means lots of VF. I don't think I'll hold a get-together at my house unless we magically (or otherwise) get FT for JP PS2. I imagine many SoCal players could meet at AI for FT, though.

AI is located in Diamond Plaza, Fullerton exit, just south of the 60 FWY (maybe 30 miles East of the convention center). It's full of Asian shops, stores, restaurants, really small parking spaces, etc. Pretty cool place. I've only eaten at the restaurant in Life Plaza. I suppose other VFers have tried other restaurants, but I don't know.

E3 night could certainly involve meeting at a restaurant for food and lots of FT afterwards - AI stays open till, like, 2am or something like that.
